How much savings would you get for the Fort Wilderness Cabins? We are looking to go in January/February 2005.. long time I know lol exp. when we really want to GO tee hee...

Are you looking at 30% - 45% or less with the AP rates?

NO, I realize that they are only for a month or so at a time. I am just future planning.

vicb - usually the AP rates that are released in this next round only extend till the end of value season in Feb. You'll have to wait longer for the end of Feb. AP rates.

Thanks MinnieGi, that's what I was suspecting. We are going the week following Pres. week, do you think it will be Jan. before those rates come out?

Is it just me, or does it seem like there isn't even any 'buzz' on when they may be released. Usually, we will hear a date pop up from a few different sources before the rates actually come out and more often than not the date is correct (or very close). There doesn't seem to be any ideas on specific dates out there at all.

I have 2 reservations for my trip 1/6 to 1/11. I have a room only reservation at AAA discount AND a Winter Dream Maker. I'm hoping to switch both of these to AP's so that I'll have 2 rooms and not UPH which I needed to get for the package. I understand that I will probably be able to just apply the AP rate to the AAA room but will likely need to cancel the DreamMaker and get a new reservation for the 2nd room. If rates come out after my 45 day window on the DreamMaker will I have to pay the $100 cancelation fee or $50 change fee? Can't rates PLEASE come out before 11/22?

I don't know but 2 different Cms told me not to expect anything till mid Dec and to start checking at the beginning of Dec ( one was from guest relations following up on a problem I had) "just in case" so maybe they'll be here sooner, maybe not. the first was when I made my ressie a couple months ago, the other maybe 2 weeks ago ( time flies so maybe a little longer)

I called this morning Nov. 11 - no ap rates. I asked for Fl res or ap rates and at first he told me Fl resident rates were out. Then he told me they were out but that they couldnt be applied until Dec. 4th. He said I could make a reservation now and then call back on Dec. 4th to have the discount applied. I opted not to because I didnt want Disney to think they had more rooms booked than they did. Maybe this means they will release all the discounts on Dec. 4th. I wish it were sooner. I'm going crazy waiting!

I took my kids to AKL this weekend and I should have known they would want to change to AKL from GF. They are huge animal lovers. The resort is beautiful and it is cheaper than GF - for once they want to save me money!!

WDWgirls- thanks for the info... did the CM tell you what dates the FL res. rates were for? We are going Pres. week and my grandfather has been able to get the rate for us during that time in the past... praying for the best!!!

I just got off the phone with Disney Club...They too have the listing for FL Res to be released on Dec 4th!! YEAH!! WL for 109.pp AKL 109.00 All Stars 49.00!!! I will be on the phone at 7am on Dec 4th!!

There was some buzz for a mid November release , lets all hope. I know people are booking closer to their arrival date then in the past so maybe Disney is waiting longer to release discounts?


I can't believe that the Winter dream Maker package is the only package they will have this winter. For us the worse case senario is staying at CBR with our AAA rate. I can not justify rack rate at any of the deluxes especially during value season.


FYI: Universal seem to also be taking there time releasing Entertainment and Fan club rates. Anyone know if S/D has any AP specials out for Jan & FEb?

I called yesterday to ask about the AP rates for Feb. The fellow I spoke with said he didn't expect to see anything before Thanksgiving. This seems to tie in with the other reports of an early Dec. release. We are reserved in the WL for February 9-15 but would like to switch to the GF if I can find an AP rate equal to or less than the rate we currently have at the WL.
