Actually his CD is surprisingly good. I've listened to some of the songs from the internet. He's meant for this.

He's the ONLY American Idol that has made me actually consider buying their CD. I don't own any others and likely never will.

He definitely looks NOTHING like he did! That's one heck of an extreme makeover. Now if only we could cut Bo's hair. He's such a cutie, but the hair has got to go!

I agree with you, I don't OWN any American Idol CD either and probably NEVER EVER will - just not my type of music - to me the harder the rock, the better and I've always been that way - just call me "rocker girl/woman", LOL!!!

Also, I will be the first to step up and say that I actually have Fantasia's album. However I need to qualify it and say that it was a gift from someone who knows I watch the show and because she won last season they got it for me. I don't listen to it very often, I really was never a Fantasia fan, I preferred Jennifer Hudson or the other diva who's name escapes me now. I also own Kelly's two CDs, Josh Gracin's, Kimberley Locke's and Rueben as well. Never listen to Ruebens, that was kind of a disapointment. Oh well.

Kelly Clarkson is very popular around here. "Breakaway" is younger dd's theme song. we saw her in concert with clay aiken. we also saw last year's "Idol" concert.

this week Constantine really wowed me. I'm liking him more than Bo these days.

Breakaway is my life story too. But I'm a lot older than your DD!

That's the only AI CD that I bought. I didn't even watch the first season of AI but liked Kelly's music when it played on the radio. If I could've gotten it as a single, I would have.

This is a serious question.

Is it song choice? Scott seems to pick lite rock and soft rock songs. Hall and Oats, Phil Collins, Luther Vandross, Brian McKnight are those artists his fans like? Is that the type of music you typically listen to.

Same with Constintine or Bo. They tend to do harder stuff. They've both done the Black Crows and Blood Sweat and Tears. Is that the music you like.

We know song choice really hurt Nadia. While I thought she could sing I don't know if I ever really loved any of her choices. IMO she failed to "get" the meaning of some of the songs she sang - Time After Time really sticks out.

So if your a Scott fan - do you normally like the type of songs he chooses.
Same with Bo or Constantine fans - so you normally like artists who have a little more grit?

I like all of the songs that Scott has chosen, all of the songs Constantine has chosen, and most of the songs that Bo has chosen. Poor Nadia.... She's beautiful, talented, and has a stage presence. I wish she would've chosen better songs. When she sang "Time After Time" with a fun, upbeat tempo, I couldn't believe it. A better Cyndi Lauper choice for her would've been "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". I'd pay to see Nadia sing that!

I posted this over on the "Scott" thread, but figured I'd add it here too since I mention all of the contestants:

For the record, I like Scott. Personally, I really enjoy his voice. I vote for him. With some vocal training I think he could be great.

Having said that, I think no one is more surprised than HIM each week when he doesn't get voted off. You can tell this, just by his reactions. I think each week, he fully expects to go home.

Obviously he will not win this competition, and he knows it.

My comments about the others:

Carrie- Consistently good, not always good song choices. With time and experience she could be a big star.

Bo- Initially I liked him a lot; he reminds me of singers I knew growing up who I'd go to see perform on the weekends. The last few weeks I have not liked his song choices. and what's with walking around with the mike stand? lol It's a wireless mic, put the stand down already. LOL

Constantine: His voice gets better each week, but his antics get cornier and cornier. LOL What was with the Gene Simmons tongue the other night?? LOL Also, while he did a decent job with the Queen song, no one ever will be able to sing it like Freddie Mercury!

Nadia: Loved her from the start; I'm sorry for her song choices. That was her downfall.

Vonzell: DH and I love her more and more each week. She lights up the stage with her smile and voice.

Anthony: Cute kid, pretty good singer, but I won't be sad to see him go.

Anwar: I love everything about this guy EXCEPT for his voice.

THANK YOU for saying that about Time After Time. I was SO confused because I read somewhere about how great Nadia was at interperting lyrics. I kept thinking of Time After Time where she completely missed the entire point of the song by making it an up tempo rock anthem.

Of course when I said that people looked at me like I had 2 heads!
