Official American Idol Season 4 Thread

This could be a tough week for the rockers (could be tough for everyone, actually). Most of the musicals listed aren't exactly associated with rock or pop music! Guess we'll find out in a few minutes...

agreed (i usually like scott a lot). i think tonight it's going to be scott or anthony who goes

Im on Paula watch, see if her "coke" changes her mood as the show goes on...LOL

Okay, here we go...

1. Scott-- "The Impossible Dream"-- Starting off really pitchy; pretty bland performance, especially for this song (and I usually like Scott). Pretty strong finish, though I didn't like the last couple of notes. He may be the next to go, unless someone else does alot worse.

Did anybody notice Scott's ending--his voice broke and then stopped suddenly and not cleanly. Maybe I need my ears fixed b/c whenever I question an ending--the judges say nothing about it. Did anybody notice?

My summary, part uno:

Scott - is it just me or can he NOT sing?!?! Mute button please...

Paula - enough already.. stop kissing everyone's patootie... "The most heartfelt performance of the competition" Hooey, I say, Hooey!

wow Constantine, I really enjoyed that one.

Constantine sounded great !!!!! but I still think he looks creepy when he sings

Constantine---Blah!

I'm not a fan of "My funny valentine" to begin with. Sounds like he's seducing the women.

They are feeding his ego!!!!

WOW!!!! That was Constantine's best performance ever!! He was amazing tonight!

Scott, Ewww! I've never gotten the appeal of him. Just don't care for him at all.

:rotfl: I'm with you on the "Paula watch"!

Back to the contestants...

2. Constantine-- "My Funny Valentine"-- Kinda hard to hear him at first; smooth vocals, and pretty strong, though. The last couple of notes were a little on the pitchy side, but definitely one of his better performances.

3. Carrie-- "Hello, Young Lovers"-- The old Carrie is back! Consistently good throughout the song; very well done. Her best performance in the last few weeks.

I've said it every week and I'll say it again. Constantine and Carrie have been my very favorites since the beginning and tonight they are just blowing me away!! :flower:

Part two:

Constantine - Oh... sweetie, you are "my funny valentine"! A bit too 'lounge singer' for me this time ... I like his rocker side better but I still love ya!

Paula - Step Off!! He's mine!

Carrie - Not favorite song choice but very solid, I agree with Simon with his 'old fashioned' statement... that said I think that even if she doesn't make it all the way she'll find her niche in country music when this is over..

Carrie sounded good, but I agree with Simon about the old fashioned commercial thing... :rotfl2:
