"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

This was me until I read about the first one being busier with bloggers and such. I’m starting to change my mind towards the second one.

Is that a reasonable concern?
We’ve been to the first and second parties multiple times in the past. We’ve never noticed any impact from vloggers.

The weather has always had the biggest impact (for us anyways) as to how crowded it is or feels. Although we pray for no rain, we notice people either arrive later/leave earlier or don’t even bother going, so generally less crowds when it is rainy. So although it may feel more crowded at times during the rain, because everyone is trying to get out of it, it’s really not as crowded as a beautiful evening.

they never bother me. In fact in there videos I never even see them on the rides. They try like 10 different foods, film fireworks and parade and some characters in there Halloween costumes.

While chat on the boards is that it is busier with bloggers, I have never heard of a single first hand response to this question.

Question: Have you ever personally been at the first MNSSHP or MVMCP and found that bloggers/vloggers impacted your party, either negatively or positively? (Only looking for first hand experiences, not the experiences you've heard about. Thanks.)
My party was negatively impacted, back before Covid....I could probably dig up my trip reports to get exact date but here's what I remember:
- a large section in front of the castle stage was created for bloggers, after everyone else had been waiting. So we waited in the spot we wanted for more than an hour, and were then told to move back so bloggers could stand in front of us 15 minutes before the show.
- the fast pass lane was open for bloggers, causing congestion, which meant lines in the regular lane while bloggers flashed a badge and walked in with no wait.
- food that was 'sold out' to regular park goers was available to bloggers, so we stood in line, watching people eating yummy stuff but then couldn't get it, only to see other bloggers walk up (with no wait) and pick up the 'sold out' item.

In general the bloggers stopped in the middle of the walk ways to film, took up more space than most people, and got special treatment. It really soured us on first night experiences, and we've never gone back to the first night since.

Different but related…..DH and I were are FoTA this year on opening day. We were shocked/annoyed by the number of vloggers we saw. I know they have every right to be there but their presence became annoying as they were filming/narrating with no regard for anyone else. The experience has us changing our plans next year and we are waiting to go until the Tuesday after MLK day so we miss most of them.

All this to say that I wouldn’t risk an opening night party if I had other options for attending. It’s a lot of money to spend and if you can avoid a potential issues why wouldn’t you?

I would think the number of guests is the same since they all sell out. The difference might be that the bloggers will try to get prime spots for getting footage of the parades, shows, fireworks. They don't mind waiting for hours so they might just be a bit in the way, but I can't imagine it would impact your visit so much unless you have to see the parade coming directly toward you from Town Square or something like that. However, I haven't been to the first night to know for sure, I just wouldn't skip it only based on the bloggers
I don't think all the parties sell out, do they?

I have heard a lot of reports that the first party is busier than the second. So if given a choice, I would go with the second party.

All parties sell out. Please see the info in the post linked above or on page one of other party threads. For the past number of years. Every single party sells out.

Maybe the first page needs to be updated because it says how many parties sell out and the number isn't all of the parties.

Walk up behind one and get in the frame: "HI! WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO THERE! TELL THEM YOU ARE HAVING FUN!"

Okay, I wouldn't do that. But I like pretending I would.
Oh, my goodness. Thank you for this idea. I absolutely would do that. I'll try to remember this next time I'm there. Though I've never encountered a blogger at WDW, so I might not get this opportunity.
