Official 2021 "Disney After Hours Boo Bash" Thread

We are staying at the BC, and she said that resorts won’t have tickets either (I thought in the past they had a limited amount, but that was to MNSSHP, not sure about After Hours events).

IIRC, if you were staying at a Disney-owned hotel at Disneyland in California, you could buy tickets to MNSSHP even if the night was sold out to the general public. I have never heard about that rule applying to Disney World in Florida.

With only 2 dates left in October left and with it only being 2 weeks since tix were even released, I absolutely DO see Disney adding in Thursday nights for this event. It's a complete and absolute money maker for them and MNSSHP was always on Thurs, Fri, Sun, and Tues anyway.

Interesting theory.

It will obviously affect the park hours though if they were planning to close at 8pm/9pm, etc., but I don't think official park times for those months are even posted.

Another thought would be as the attendance capacity starts to increase by the end of the year (if it does) then more tickets will suddenly become available again for the dates that are currently sold out.

I'll be shocked if they don't add more. The Sundays will start selling out more. Remember, all the people who were literally on the phone for days couldn't even get the Sundays. I bet a lot of dates will start filling up at some point. I just hope they don't "find" more tickets for all of the dates.

I’m hoping this is just a glitch with my iPad but I just checked the Boo Bash sight for a friend looking for tickets and my screen shows dates available in Oct that were definitely sold out last night!

You’re right.... outside of August 10th and October 31st I’m seeing all dates available. I tried “buying” tickets and was able to get all the way to the payment screen (I didn’t actually buy them so I can’t say if it would have gone through, but it looks like it would).

Opening they may want to leave lower so that it looks more attractive to people from the 20,000 vloggers who will be there covering to help sell the rest of the Aug/Sept dates. That’s what I’m telling myself at least because I am going to the first party. :teeth:

If I had to guess about Halloween, perhaps that “sold out” glitch was real and they already added more tix for that night.

Looks like finding more tickets is exactly what they did. Honestly, I'm not surprised. No one should've gone into this thinking this was going to be a traditional after hours event with the low crowd levels those come with. This was predictable once they saw how quickly people were willing to buy.

You could be right and now other nights will be more crowded as well!
Yep. This is a really mean bait and switch. So much was made of people who complained about pricing being told that they didn't understand and that this was an AFTER HOURS with reduced capacity and it would be wonderful.

I'm watching this REALLY carefully for Christmas.

But that's EXACTLY what people were expecting and why they were willing to fork out this ridiculous amount of money. Low. Crowd. Levels.

Well apparently they’ve “added more” alright but not additional dates like we expected...I really feel cheated I bought tickets for the so called “limited capacity “

If they had read the description carefully, they would have seen that the wording describing the wait times was not the same verbiage they used for traditional after hours. It's what they used to describe Villains After Hours- and those came with plenty of complaints about crowd levels. They weren't as busy as a regular park day (and I doubt even with increased capacity BB will be) but they were considerably more crowded than a regular After Hours.

It's why I thought this was such a bad deal to start with. All they promised was "shorter" waits and I have no doubt the waits will be shorter than you'd experience on a regular park day. Limited capacity means nothing. Every park day has limited capacity. I'm not defending them. They intentionally gave this event the same name as the super low after hours events and that's deceptive. But they never promised the "little to no wait" as they did with traditional after hours and that shouldv'e set off alarm bells.
