Yeah, a long trip home late at night can kind of put a damper on things if you get unlucky with bus timing or sharing. I’m assuming AKL still has a dedicated bus, but I’m not sure - they may try to share with some other resorts out that way.

CR always seems to have those taxi vans around which you probably need with your large crew! :-)
This past January we stayed at Kidani, we only shared the bus with AKL so basically one stop. The previous year we stayed at the Poly and had a bunch of stops!!! That was crazy so ironically, our AKL drop off time was earlier than our Poly :(

Thanks!

Yeah, our Poly Feb 2017 trip home was fooorrreeevvver. We hit all the MK resorts, including CR (odd), WL, FW, then Poly, GF. I was kicking myself so bad for not just taking the Ferry and walking.

I was pleasantly surprised in June when the Poly bus only shared with GF. :-)

So to confirm, you are saying Poly has ferry and bus transportation after DAH; but not resort boat transportation? We will be attending 09/20 with 9:00pm-12:00am event hours. Thanks!

Correct, no Poly-GF-MK resort launch (boat).

The MK Ferry is running mainly to take people to the TTC/parking lot, but you can also take it and just walk over from the TTC to Poly if you don’t mind the walk (it’s pretty easy, but maybe not for some at the end of a long day).

Or bus would be your other option - which on my night in June shared with GF.

Hope that helps!

Hey!

Yes, a DAH ticket acts as any other type of park ticket and will let you make FPs. But - like with what started with MNSSHP tickets and FPs last year - there are certain combinations of tickets/scenarios/situations where booking FPs with a DAH ticket may cause issues with other booked FP days.

What I mean by this is, say...

Person X has a 5 day ticket and books 5 days worth of FPs (in this case let’s say Days 2–6)

Person X also has a DAH ticket and books FPs that day (in this case, Day 1)

Disney’s system will let you do all of the above. BUT - for unknown reasons and circumstances SOME people later get an an e-mail warning as having too many FPs vs tickets and that the last days FPs will be deleted. This warning comes via e-mail and the FP deletion can happen sometime (like a day or so) afterwards.

Not everyone will get the warning and it is unclear what exactly flags/causes it to occur in the MDX world. Calls to Disney IT result in varied responses.

TLDR - it’ll let you do it, just keep an eye out for any warning e-mails, especially if the FPs on the last park. day are really important.

Hope that helps!

So the system wouldn't let me make the fastpasses using the DAH ticket between 7-10pm. The person had an 8 day pass and had FPs for 8 days - so it said I had to remove him before continuing. I logged in and out. I see all the tickets there but still no. I will try to chat with them and see. Ugh!

I assume that person has no other FPs that same DAH day?

Correct. His FPs start the day after. Does it state somewhere that you can make FPs with the DAH party? Disney makes it hard to get answers. Of course their chat is not available now. I just don't want to call.

I haven't posted on the blogs in a long time, so I have made a new account and here I am (: So hello to all!

What are the chances of this event happening again in winter time?
Trying to plan a trip in Jan or March(since I will be missing princess run this year ): )

We are going tomorrow night! Does anyone know - Is the transportation to the Wilderness Lodge after the event via ferry? Bus? Both? Thanks!!!

Based on the recent reviews, I'm back on the fence about attending 8/30. After the early summer reviews, I was excited to give the event another try but now I'm not sure what to do:confused3

Even though we had some bumps at ours, I’m still going to say do it

You attended earlier this year as well right? How'd you feel the crowd level compared btwn the 2?
Surprisingly the sold out March event seemed much less crowded. I’m not exactly sure how that happened. We followed the same “plan” as the first one and there just seemed to be people everywhere. We still had fun and it was much better than standing out in the heat with the crowds.

Thanks for the info. We probably will go because my sister hasn't had a chance to attend one yet but I thought March was crowded compared to the other times we went so if this feels more crowded, I'll be sad lol.

Did you go on March 1?
