Yep. I am pretty inflexible about things unfortunately. I need a standard or garden view room at a mod (not going above that) and my dates are set. Also I am pretty sure I don't want CBR. So that limits me a great deal. So then that leaves me renting points or offsite. There are pro's and cons to each.

I'm reallly waffling.. Anyone want to hear why? I mean we're just sitting here waiting anyway:rotfl:

I am working REALLY hard on Weight Watchers and working out to lose weight. I had 50 pounds to lose:sad2: and I am down 15!!! I'll be down 25 or 30 by our trip at this rate. To that end, Free Dining is just a bad idea. It's too much food, and I will have to fight to make decent choices at every single restaurant. I have to do that in everyday life but I do anticipate that being difficult going to two restaurants a day.

It's not a matter of just going on vacation and worrying about it when I get back. I have to make a lifestyle change and I just don't want to reintroduce high fat/sugar food. So that has me worried. But we missed being onsite and dining in all of the restaurants and I know the rest of my family would enjoy it. So if I can get the promo in the room I want, it's a big money saver and I would muddle through and pre plan and do my best.

Our budget is pretty set in stone, but I could go with a room offer, or rent a DVC studio, keep my foods in the room, and pay OOP .So then I could stay somewhere like the Beach Club and have access to the gym. Or rent points at OKW and have the kitchenette.

Then there is Bonnet Creek where I would have a full kitchen and that gives me full control over what I eat. I can eat well and we could still go out one meal a day and save quite a bit.

So this very long winded post is to say they need to release this promo so I can narrow down my choices before things sell out (like renting points or getting my week at Bonnet Creek). Ideally I want onsite with a full kitchen but that is astronomically out of the budget.

Congrats on your weight loss! I know how hard trying to lose weight is and how much dedication it takes. It's not easy! :cheer2:

You know, I wasn't going to do anything at BOG, because I don't particularly care for their menu but after seeing the movie, I have to do it! I'm going to try for it, but I may be too late now.

I absolutely love the inside of BOG. It's beautiful! Even if you don't go for the food, it's a must at least once just to be inside Beast's castle :goodvibes

We're debating on whether or not to even do DHS this year. The only rides we like there are the movie ride, toy story and tower of terror. I'm thinking we might just do an afternoon and evening there, do those rides and the shows we like and see Fantasmic. I think we'll have a free/sleep-in morning this day. I know a lot of people would disagree, but I just don't think it's worth a full day, especially now with all of the construction. We're not huge star wars fans either.

I am spoiled that my airport (Newark) has tons of options and airlines to pick from - $250 used to be a standard rdtp to Orlando when I saw the $176 I was like SCORE! And up until that price the DH was still on the fence on if we should even go. Now he is asking if I booked this year yet!

I'm newark too. We booked jetblue in December for august. We are paying 1100 with 1 checked bag each and insurance! Love jetblue. My 12yo has anxiety and we can't fly any other airline because he NEEDS a tv. It's the only thing that keeps him calm on flights. He costs me more money but I love that kid!

AK: both pandora rides!

$176 is a great price! I always look at JetBlue but end up with Southwest. Jetblue doesn't have much service out of my airport (PVD in RI). One of the weeks I'm looking at the flights were $400 per person ( Southwest) which is definitely not in the budget. I've had luck waiting closer to travel time though.
Agree with you 100%..I fly out of PVD and jetblue flights are very limited to MCO.
IMO I prefer jetblue over SW..many creature comfort features and price point.
Last year got great pricing on my flight to disney..first picked up the jetblue prefer card which gave me a ton of points..used them for this flight and cost $600 round trip for family of 4. only downfall with jetblue you cannot combine points and $ on same trip..

question how do you get the 10% off for Disney visa card holders, at restaurants if you use a magic band to charge to your account?

I think that's totally reasonable. HS was one of my favourite parks but now it's hard to feel the love for it with everything going on there.

On another note does anyone know what resorts the Pop Warner group usually stays at? How far in advance do they announce where they will be staying? I'd like to try and avoid them if I can.

I can't pick a favorite for MK, I love the whole park, every inch of it! I love finding all of the hidden little "easter eggs" all throughout. Like the sounds of a dance class and music lessons from overhead windows on main street, listening in on the party line phone conversations, finding hidden mickeys, etc. We take at least 3 days each trip just in this park, because there's so much to absorb.
Epcot favorites: All of world showcase and Soarin
Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, new Pandora rides?
DHS: Great movie ride, toy story, Tower of terror

They usually stay at the All stars Sports, don't they? Not 100%, but I know they often stay at All Stars

LOL. we love Peoplemover. I had a 3 year old nap on my lap on it once long time ago for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Ever since then it's got a nostalgic feel to it and we have to ride it and every time I tell my (now 10 year old DD) the story again :)

This year they are at Coronado from what I read and a friend's co worker whose daughter will be cheering there. I thought it odd typically they stay at ASSp

Thanks for the replies! I thought I had heard something a mod this year so that helps but also makes things a bit more complicated with trying to figure out which mod to stay at :jumping3:

HS: Toy Story and...I'm not sure. :P
Epcot : Soarin and Spaceship Earth
AK: The Pandora rides for sure. I'm a ride wimp and Everest is a little too much for me.

I also am so excited for the new fireworks show in MK. I'll miss Wishes but am ready for a change.

Also have been waking up every morning about 5:30 when I normally sleep for at least an hour later than that. I think my sub conscious is trying to get my ready for free dining. :P
