The Canadian offers seemed to drop first and we were all trying to book on the Canadian versions of the site. Then people were posting on DIS that if you booked on that site and didn't have a Canadian passport to show at checkin, they wouldn't honor it

Did you need to have a Canadian billing address? Both my sister and I are dual citizens, but live in LA. If we can book using our home address and just show our passports that would be awesome!

In other news, I had to swtich around my park days due to the MNSSHP and ROL dining package releases. I think the schedule is better but of course....the day I'm switching around was my BOG lunch reservation. So now I'll be stalking the dining pages!

I know this will happen to me, and probably on the night I have Ohana'. But can't book FP's till 30 days out, so who knows if I will be able to keep this res. or not....oh, stop the madness!

It seems to be a bit slow this morning. So I'll ask this question: Where is your favorite place to just sit and relax in any of the parks?

My fave place to relax is in the gardens in Japan in Epcot with a Kirin (beer)

I think a lot of the ones that you see on cm lanyards are fake ones because people order big lots of them off of eBay for super cheap and trade them in the parks with the cm's because they don't say no to a trade unless they already have the pin.

However, I also get so sick of stalking an area getting a seat and then having someone stand up in front of me or holding the kids on their shoulders.

I know right, happens all the time! One night, it was great, everyone was sitting on the ground and the view was fabulous. Then a bunch of people in front decided to stand up, and of course everyone had to stand up because all those sitting down could no longer see! It was a wave, except no one sat back down...LOL!

It's supposed to be saying April 8 (4/8) not 8/4...in Europe they write dates this way, I guess in Canada they do too. 4/8 is tomorrow, so I guess it's the earliest you can book.

Yup, this makes sense.

And gives me flashbacks to when I lived in Montreal-I was moving out of my first apartment and scheduled phone service to end July 9 (so put 7/9 in the date). Then when the new person moved in during August, they couldn't set up phone because it was still set for me (they weren't canceling it until Sept 7)! A bit embarrassing but the phone company was totally understanding and gave me a refund for the time after July 9; they blamed themselves instead of realizing I was an idiot!

Yes, Japan has some really interesting nooks and crannies. We discovered those playing Agent P.

I remember our first trip in 2007. Stayed at Pop and had regular dining. No tip, no tax, and meals included appetizer AND dessert!!! Boy were we spoiled....

Yes us too 2006 and 2007 we did that. It was amazing. So disappointed when we had to start paying tips, it adds about $20 a day to our bill if we do 20% tip.

Nothing wrong with hoping though, it keeps us on our toes plus Black562 didn't notify us of summer offers til like literally 6-8 hrs before it dropped, Disney is trying to be more secretive is all which is fine we still love our Free Dining!!!

So how many cards are there for the MK game? Will I get most of them if I go to MK, three times and ask?

LOL...I don't know how many cards there are but you can get additional ones every day, when you stop in. We got a big stack on our last vacation. Maybe someone more experienced can answer this. I just know it was tons of fun!

What are the transportation cards? Do you ask the drivers for them? My son would love that!!

Yes, we usually ask the CM when we exit the monorail for the cards. You should be able to get a card for each color monorail. We have gotten a few cards after taking the boats to DS as well. On the back of the cards, it says there are a total of 26 transportation cards to collect. Happy collecting!!

Oh, I forgot to say. I've got a website picked out to create a private chat room for when the boards go down on the night FD drops. It's great because it doesn't require any sign up for people to join. It will be an awesome night!

This is me too. We've never had PH, so would love to try it, but likely won't buy if we don't get free dining. In fact, like most of us, while waiting, I've been crunching numbers. We are a family of 5 going 8/21-8/26, and I booked prior to the park ticket increase. However, now there will be MNSSHP during our trip. If I am unable to get free dining, I'll look at the possibility of switching my 5 day base tix to 1 park/day and add party tickets. The cost would come out close enough to what I currently have and give us the party (but one day we can't get in until 4:00). I need to decide if it's worth it to us. We love Halloween, but honestly, I was hoping to not have to plan around it in August.

I know cost is always a factor, but we always park hop. It just gives us so much flexibility.

The base deck is 1-70. But 61-70 can only be found in the booster packs you buy in the store there. They're special, rare cards and you won't find them in the free packs. Then there's the party cards mentioned earlier--I think there's 8 of those. Everyone in your party can get the free pack each day you're in MK. BUT after you get the first pack, you have to actually play one portal before you'll get any more packs. So each day you can go in, play one spot, and get a pack. And everyone in your party can do this.

We tried to play this once but we really didn't understand what we were doing. We couldn't get a few of the stops to work, we just gave up. Anyone want to take the time to explain this to me? (Or maybe someone knows a website or thread that will)

I just got my reservation booklet for the Savory Summer Offer. It does say that during Lunch and Dinner if you use your CS meal credit you get your entree, drink and a dessert.

I'm still cancelling this reservation and going with the Room discount and Canadian Resident tickets.

Yeah, I think the Savory Summer Offer is different than the new offer for 2 snack credits with DDP.
