OMG, I'm having flashbacks to 2014 free dining. The Canadian offers seemed to drop first and we were all trying to book on the Canadian versions of the site. Then people were posting on DIS that if you booked on that site and didn't have a Canadian passport to show at checkin, they wouldn't honor it, so we were all freaking out. Then FINALLY the US offer was live and I was able to snag a room at GF. I learned two things that year: 1) I am not Canadian and 2) apparently the Canuck's (and the Brits) Looooove the contemporary because I could not score anything FD there! Let's not repeat 2014 :scared:

It's supposed to be saying April 8 (4/8) not 8/4...in Europe they write dates this way, I guess in Canada they do too. 4/8 is tomorrow, so I guess it's the earliest you can book.

Funny, I read it as April 8th (Australian here) and got excited, then mentally slapped myself as I've been making that mistake the whole time I've been booking this trip. But for once, I got it right!

Ooo my husband is a Canadian citizen but we live in the US. He has a Canadian passport but US address could that work for us? lol :P

So if the air Canada site is possibly tomorrow are we staying up tonight???? ;)

Noooo! I can't stay up tonight. I have a First Aid course early tomorrow morning. I'm already sleep deprived.

It would however work in my favour if it drops on the Canadian site first.

Yes, you can each get cards every day. The game is kind of like being in the park in a different dimension. You meet other people playing the game, and you end up being oblivious to everything else going on. I met this kid, who had this whole binder of cards. He was about eight. He came up to different people, looking to trade...and he knew what cards were more valuable, asking for two cards for some of the singles. It was so cute. And I got to help other people figure out how to play along the way. I have my stack of cards that I'll bring and play the next harder level.
We usually go to MK 2 or 3 times during a trip so we have lots of extra cards. We've had people stop and ask us about the cards before and after explaining the game, we've given cards to them to start them off. Speaking of cards, did you know you can collect transportation cards (monorails/boats/buses) and Wild about Safety cards.

What are the transportation cards? Do you ask the drivers for them? My son would love that!!

I am joining in with the watch. We have been lucky enough to get free dining December 2010, October 2013 and hoping for December 2017 Christmas Trip! We are a family of 5 and free dining is a must for us. The prices of the trips have increased so much over the last 7 years! Free dining is kind of a make or break for us on this trip because adding it will be almost $3500 more! eek! Keeping our fingers crossed!!
Yes, I think many families find themselves in exactly this situation. Welcome to the Madness!
