Have you thought about setting up a price alert through a third-party flight search? Also, how do you search for flights? Do you go directly to the airline's website or use a third-party? If you go directly to an airline's website they will track your searches and the prices tend to go higher. If you're going to visit an airline's website do it "In Private Mode," so your cookies aren't logged.

Also I just used a different browser and used a private window and the prices are still the same as they were a little while ago without using a private window.

Argh-so not Free Dining related, but is trip related. I am a big NFL fan and have season tickets to the Rams. I knew our trip was going to be during football season, and realized, belatedly, it was going to extend over 2 sundays, so figured 2 games I would miss, but likely only one would be home. Of course my luck sucks-because both games are home, so I will be missing the season opener, as well as the game vs the Redskins, which I was looking forward to because the Rams coach just left the Redskins, and I have a friend from Washington who was excited to see them. I already sell some tickets (bought 8 season tiks and sell 4-6 per game to make up for the ones I used), so I guess I will be selling more those games. But I'm disappointed with myself! My big passions are Star Wars, Disney, and football, and now they are colliding! But obviously Disney is taking preference (and because we are going to HS one of those days I will even be wearing a SW shirt instead of a Rams shirt...)! Oh, woe is me!

So, new game-what is the best Character Meet you have had?

Last year we went to DL on Dapper Day, and my sister was wearing the Han Solo dress from Her Universe-it was pretty cute! We saw the line for Chewbacca wasn't long, so we decided to say hi. When we walked into the room, he noticed her dress immediately and ran across the room during the Wookie shout! And gave her a huge hug, then did a forehead-forehead bonding moment! I was wearing a dress with BB-8 on it, so he grabbed my hand and twirled me around, as well as big hugs! It was amazing! We were in tears we were laughing so hard, and the photopass photographer had a huge smile on his face too!

We went last October/November. We were walking through SWLB and a couple of Jawas were just hanging out. My littlest guy (about 1 1/2 at the time) ran over to them as fast as he could, squeezing one of them tight for a hug. Both Jawas went crazy dancing and snuggling with my son. We were there for probably 10 minutes while they played with my kids. I finally said, "OK, we have to go meet Chewy" because we had a FP One Jawa grabbed up my youngest and pretended (I think he/she was pretending :D) to take him away. After we met Chewy and Kylo Ren we went back up where the Jawas had been. Only one was there and he/she immediately grabbed up my son for more dancing. Out of nowhere Jawa #2 came SPRINTING to come play with him again. It was hilarious. We have some of the dancing on video. They were so funny. My son still talks about playing with the "wawas" at Disney World.

Y'all are freaking out this germophobe with all your talk about viruses and food poisoning. I do not cope well with throw up.....

That being said, my DD's chicken drumstick looked a little off to me at GG on our first night at Disney- sure enough she was throwing up that night. So, maybe GG again, but we will try breakfast

curious for those that think they had food poisoning, what the suspected food culprit was... my family can avoid chicken for a few days!!

Chicken at Flame tree and pulled pork (that was luke warm) at Cosmic Rays.

We enjoyed GG breakfast very much! Side note: if you book a PPO breakfast there you can basically walk on to Soarin' after your meal with no wait before the rope drop crowds shows up.

So, new game-what is the best Character Meet you have had?!
My DS dressed as Jack Skellington for the Halloween party at Disneyland a few years ago so of course we had to meet Jack and Sally. His meet was over by the HM. When it was DS's turn, Jack made a big deal of showing other guests that DS looked just like him. Then Jack grabbed DS by the hand and started walking away. Even though it was a Disney character, I will admit to being a little freaked out, especially when he opened the back gates to HM and pulled my son through. He motioned for the Photopass photographer to take pictures while Jack, Sally and DS peeked through the gates. DS was thrilled about the extra attention and we have some awesome pics from it.

Here's one:

What is your least favorite TS?

Coral Reef. We waited over an hour past our ADR, the menu was limited and the food was not good. We knew the menu wasn't that appealing to us, but like many others, booked for the atmosphere. Well, we were seated at the very back next to the kitchen door. My kids were 6 & 4 at the time and couldn't see the tank hardly at all. I realize that not every table can be right up front, but it was such a disappointment and I will never go there again.

Disney Visa peeps....how do you confirm you're set up to receive email notifications of special offers? I called Visa to find out, and was told you go to Disneyrewards.com, click "manage my account" and then "Receive emails about special offers" and sign up. Which seems simple, but when I click that, it takes to me to Chase bank to enroll in online banking. Which I already am. And when I sign into my chase account, and view the Disney Visa info and options, I can't find a place to adjust my preferences on Disney Visa emails ANYWHERE. So I called Visa back, and after being on hold forever, was told to call Disney tech support. I did that, and they were super confused, saying Visa needs to help. I feel like this should not be so difficult and just want to confirm if there is a FD email about to go out, that I get it! Any tips?

I get the emails but I don't know where the appropriate place to sign up is. I'm pretty sure it's linked from when I signed up for the card online. I will tell you that I've had the card for 2 years and every offer that has ever been announced has not been sent to my email until at least half a day after the announcement! Best to check here.

I stayed at POR last year with FD Labor Day weekend. I believe it was excluded for stays starting in October through December.
Rumor seems to have it that it will be excluded after September this year as well.
How were crowds over Labor Day? We were initially going later in September but now I think we are going 9/3-9/9.

My oldest barfed in the middle of the night after eating Garden Grill dinner... And then about 3 buckets of popcorn, a Japanese snowcone, and a mickey bar...

guess I can't really point the blame at GG huh? #noregrets
We had so much barf last trip! Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again!

Your little son is insanely cute!

We have gone a few time the week of Labor Day. That day may be busy but not bad. Slows down after that. One year we did all of MK in a day and a half. We did not take brakes during the day.

I see. I meant that prices can fluctuate from day to day.

Also, after a bad experience on SouthWest I don't fly with them anymore, so that's why I suggested a third-party, but not a travel site (e.g. Expedia, Orbitz). There are websites I use to search for flights, but I generally book directly with the airlines.

Best of luck on your flight search!

Sunday was the heavy day. We didn't even make an attempt to go to a park that day. Hurricane Hermine was also in the area. Lots of tornado warnings and then the rains came in overnight. It kept a nice cloud cover over the area for many days but after the rain it was wicked humid.
