That's a good question because I'm sure most of us who booked for the fall have paid rack rates and it's supposedly a "value" season, right? So we should at least qualify for room discounts?
Do people know if the room discounts are as limited as FD? Or does most everyone who wants one get it?

:dogdance:
I am also losing steam in the wait. No new rumors have come out for about two weeks and I'm starting to just not care as much. I find myself checking the forum for updates on fd less and less often. At this point I'm thinking it doesn't matter if I get it or not.
I know the feeling.:sad2:

Another gloomy day in NH. We've only just had two beautiful days in a row, after two snow storms and seems like a month of downpours. If only something exciting would be reported in here. I know there are some of us who are becoming melancholy with this whole affair. I want to maintain the anticipation and excitement but it is getting harder and harder to do. I haven't let DISCOURAGED set in yet, but I'm teetering on the fence....I need a magical boost! :(

Ooh! What's a citrus swirl? Haven't read about them in my research.
There is only one place I know of to get it. It is a mix of soft serve vanilla ice cream with a swirl of citrus. It's very light and really refreshing to eat in the heat. It's at the Sunshine Tree Terrace in MK. Yummy!

you know, all the times to DL and we haven't had a dole whip. my hubs swears we will go to the tiki room and share a dole whip this trip

For years we walked right passed and and never got one. We used to go to Disneyland in February since that is my sons birthday month and it was often chilly and/or rainy so icecream was never what we were in the mood for-we would make a beeline straight to the latte's cocoa and hot freshly beignets in New Orleans Square. A few years ago when we first went for October/halloween and it was HOT and we decided to have one and...yum we were in heaven. I should have expected as much-its my sons 2 favorite things 1. Ice cream 2. citrus fruit. now we have to have one every visit even if its not hot.

The line at Disneyland is always soooooooooo long so now I just make sure to hop in line about 5 minutes before they open and I get the first one of the day. Now its tradition.

:offtopic: We are going to go in the fall, FD or not, but FD would help us financially the most. Second, I think would be a room only discount, but then I got to thinking about my AAA membership. Anyone book through AAA and notice a decent savings, at least comparable to room only?

I have never used Uber for parks just a trip to the airport on an off site stay - I was tempted when the bus was taking FOREVER one night but held out
Yeah, we originally used them one trip as our transportation to and from Universal back to our resort and loved it. Not bad priced at all, much cheaper for us than Mears was. We've used a couple of times now. This last trip, we were at Pop Century and when we came out the glass doors for the buses, the line for HS was lined all the way back to the glass doors!!! I don't know what was going on as we were there in the off time. I don't know if it was bus problems or what, but it was crazy. We kind of got in line, then I looked at my husband and said "You want to Uber?" And he's like, oh yeah! A few minutes and we were in a car, and in what seemed like just a few more we were walking into HS. Best 10 bucks ever. :rotfl:

My understanding is that Disney ended their partnership with AAA several years ago, so there are no more exclusive discounts through them.

Last year FD dropped on the last Monday of April, some years it was early May. No reason to feel that there won't be FD this year, at least at this point. When it's get closer Black and Steve will be here posting much more frequently. They have been "quiet" which could just mean, no info yet. BE PATIENT.

Also, does anyone know where I could find $10 or $15 Disney gift cards? My physical therapist is heading to WDW because his daughter is competing in the cheer competition. I've become close with him and his family and he has two kids (the 9 yr old cheerleader and a 3-yr old son). I thought it could be fun to give each of the kids a small gift card to each have their own money to buy a souvenir. But I only saw $50 at Target and $25 on the Disney Store Online. That is a bit over my price point!

Walgreens has gift cards where you can put $15-$500.

I thought you didn't need Free Dining this year?

There's nothing to be discouraged about. We had hoped for earlier but it was never a guarantee. I can understand being impatient, but really it doesn't make it come any faster. It could still be a few weeks away. I'm just checking in less, and focusing on a ton of other stuff.. this is the fun part. When it stops being fun.. I don't do it. :)

You can also go to a Disney Store if you have one nearby, and they start at $15 to put on a card.
