I have always been a viewer of the forums and such (made an account not too long ago so I could see photos) and never posted as couldnt think of anything useful to put. Just wondering as I cannot really see why .. why is there such a strong feeling they will announce soon / tonight? I vaguely remember one person posting I think it was Sunday but is that the only evidence? Just wondering and thanks

I think it is because the last few years FD has been announced 4 days after the UK FD offer was released. Monday would be 4 days. This is just speculation and wishful thinking.

Nothing strong at all. We are just a bunch of loons! Lol. About the only thing we have to go on is for the past few years US FD was announced 4 days after UK was announced. That was 4 days ago. But then there are plenty of other factors that don't match up. The last two years it's been on Monday. And the summer offer came out on Monday.

I now have this page and the special offers page on Disney site on my home screen on my phone. So Ill keep checking it as I try and sleep

Can you find the FD on the My Disney Experience app?? This is all so new to me. Trying to figure out how to do it on my phone. It is easier to check at night!!

Room availability can be very limited. Disney only allows a certain number of rooms allotted for FD.

Ok I'm caught up reading now..phew! I was at a Phoenix suns game today (my dads a high school basketball coach and received a big award from them ) and there were like 12 pages to catch up on. My first thought was alright, it's going to happen tonight, everyone's talking! Oh well, guess I'll just have tonight check periodically through the night with everyone!

I'm "ONLY" 36....but I don't do Facebook either. I am not a fan of social media, but my groupme account is really me.....however Taylor F is HILARIOUS!!!! I literally laughed out loud tonight and had to explain to my wife that the Disney chat ladies are going crazy tonight and talking about a wine party.....with Easter leftovers.....I told her not to worry....it would be a good time to introduce her to the group! lol

@Taylor F. - thanks for setting up an additional chat function. I would vote for GroupMe as I have found it is best for groups. LINE is good too. But, I completely understand people not wanting to add apps. I just clicked on the Google hangout (using my cell) and it says I have to download the Hangout app to join. I'll try that.

Really cool story! Congrats to your Dad. I've always had a small spot in my sporting mind for the Suns......only because Charles Barkley played there after my Sixers traded him.

All of the above! Often only deluxe or expensive moderate rooms are left. Some dates are gone within minutes. It's not an open offer to anyone who books in those times. It's limited to an unknown quantity of rooms.

So for people who have a set budget and dates, it's a scramble to try and lock it in.

I'm back guys. You had an awful lot of fun today without me, that hurts a little. I just caught up and here are my thoughts: it doesn't seem like FD will be dropping tonight, I will plan to sleep and check my phone through out the night, I'm making croissants for Easter brunch this year so I'll bring those as my leftovers, and I would LOVE to hear an alter ego/back story for myself!

My bed time is approaching as well.

SO I was thinking about what I am willing to accept in the name of free dining, and what I am not willing to accept.

* My dates are fixed so no wiggle room there
* I would be willing to stay at any property that is not undergoing a major refub (therefore no CBR and no CSR)
* I would happily move up to a deluxe as long as the cost for it doesnt exceed what I am paying for a moderate with the DDP. My first desire would be to save money but I would also happily accept more for the same price
* I would stay at a value but only in a preferred location. I cant be schlepping it out to the boonies and needing a 3 hour tour each time I want to refill my mug

So while I wait with baited breath I know that what I am looking for might be in short supply.
