That's right! We were there dec 07 in a value with FD. Forgot it was the regular ddp and no gratuities! Oh how things have changed!

I remember our first trip in 2007. Stayed at Pop and had regular dining. No tip, no tax, and meals included appetizer AND dessert!!! Boy were we spoiled....

I haven't been since it started, but yes I would like to play. I read somewhere you go to the Fire Hall each day and pick up some cards.

Yes, you can each get cards every day. The game is kind of like being in the park in a different dimension. You meet other people playing the game, and you end up being oblivious to everything else going on. I met this kid, who had this whole binder of cards. He was about eight. He came up to different people, looking to trade...and he knew what cards were more valuable, asking for two cards for some of the singles. It was so cute. And I got to help other people figure out how to play along the way. I have my stack of cards that I'll bring and play the next harder level.

Yup, been there done that....it was amazing! Those days are long gone I'm afraid. Any kind of discount is better than nothing these days.

Two teenage boys who love this game!!! They have two complete sets and then a bunch of the party cards that they traded for--even though we've never been to any of the parties! They even bought the board game to play at home.

I'm cleaning today....in between hangin' with all you folks. I'm waiting for that one weekend....that one longed for weekend, when that fated rumor is released! Then the flurry of activity, pages and pages of excitement! Then the all nighter, with wine or beer or hard liquor! Or in my case a cup of tea...LOL. I may light a candle and play Disney music in the background to spur me on! Oh what a night!

Special cards given out during the Halloween and Christmas parties. There's one special edition for each party. I think they're up to 8 total now--two a year for the past four years. Basically, you have to attend the party or be lucky and be there one of the few days afterwards when they're handing out leftovers. Or meet some really nice people online who are willing to trade! I know some of them are Chip & Dale, Hitch Hiking Ghosts, Pirate Helsman, Olaf, Minnie--can't remember the rest!

I am joining in with the watch. We have been lucky enough to get free dining December 2010, October 2013 and hoping for December 2017 Christmas Trip! We are a family of 5 and free dining is a must for us. The prices of the trips have increased so much over the last 7 years! Free dining is kind of a make or break for us on this trip because adding it will be almost $3500 more! eek! Keeping our fingers crossed!!

Holding out for FD by silently stalking this thread but at least there are four MVMCP dates to choose from during my vacation. I am hoping for a standard moderate resort room with FD, but with all the construction I am worried the availability won't be there.

Sorry I've gone quiet! I was still here reading, but I was at a work conference earlier this week. My flight got delayed coming home and luckily I had pages and pages of posts to catch up on! It helped pass the time at the airport.
