I seriously just read through 15 pages from last years thread; wow! Hope this year goes smoothly and with the same advance notice :)

We are also a family of 7 and we are hoping for free dining as well at AoA. Our youngest is also 2 so we can stay in there one more time. We were there last year and loved it!
AoA looks awesome, my kids wanna stay there. If feel like the suites there should be considered mods, since they cost more than some mods. I just want to be at a mod for the standard plan, and I want the boat ride to MK. When my youngest is 3, what are we going to do? I wonder about this a lot...I guess rent 2 rooms or a villa? Not too many options for groups greater than 4. These trips get more expensive every year!

I believe AOA is a Mod; Have you looked at CBR? My family of five stayed last year and we loved it!

If it gives you any positive thinking I didn't book until June 22 last year and got fd - only at asm but fd is fd

Thanks for making me sleep well. ASMu is what I'm hoping for. Found out they don't have coffee pots though. So now thinking about getting a 4 cup to take. Lol.

Yeah I hear ya. We will probably end up renting two rooms after the youngest is three. He actually turns three while at Disney this year. If you do that cabins make sure you rent the golf cart. Not sure how many small kids you have but if they are smaller all 7 will fit on a golf cart. Or so they told me.

AOA is a value. Priced more then a moderate. Love CBR, but with major construction reports are very limited space and may not be included in FD.
Last year we had plenty of warning. I think south americas came out right before ours, with very similar dates.
Tomorrow is adr day for me, no dining plan since I'm just there for 2 days and only meal I want is BOG lunch! Hoping I can get it!

Ok this might be a complicated question; I have a package booked with the modify button available; if free dining comes out in the middle of my reservation is it easy to switch the dates as well? It seems like changing to free dining works easily, but I'm not as sure about the dates. Has anyone modified in the past both the dates of the reservation and the FD? Thanks in advance!

I would get two rooms at a value if I had a large family. :goodvibes

No, unfortunately AoA is a value, though I don't know why. But we're 2 adults, 4 kids and a baby. Won't fit in CBR though I've always wanted to stay there, it looks beautiful!

I wonder if they'll eventually be offering GCs to people staying at Coronado for the construction there? Don't hear much about it.

That's what we are doing. We are hoping for FD and going to pay for the upgrade to standard DDP. It's still cheaper than staying at a mod.
Is it hard to get 2 rooms for FD? Would you put them both under the same name, or each one under a different adult in the party? I've never rented more than 1 room before.

See, the good thing about the FW cabins is that they are all the same price, no different views or "levels", so they can't upsell you there. Plus, it's the only non-deluxe that you can get standard FD for up to 6 people.

This will be my 1st time trying for FD, so I'll let you know! :mic: Hopefully it will be easier to get a couple of rooms at Sports or Music as opposed to a mod. And if this doesn't work, our back-up plan is to stay onsite at Universal! We are pretty much locked into our dates because I bought the airline tix and because I don't want to take my youngest out of school, and other obligations. . .

OOOPS! See below! Time to go to bed and dream that FD will come soon!!

I'm planning on putting everyone's name who is staying in my room on that 1st reservation, and my adult son's name and people in his room on that 2nd reservation.

If you have a travel agent, they would easily be able to help you organize that.
If you don't get overwhelmed planning, that is just fine. Be sure to contact them to request connecting rooms (requests only, Disney never guarantees) :)

I have this fear that they'll release FD without any advance notice, and I'll happen to sleep late that day and miss it,and I'll never be able to get it. I'm insane...sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, and I grab my phone and check just to make sure I didn't miss it. I need serious help.
You'll be ok! I have faith in you! :)
