Official 2016 Princess Half Marathon Thread

Which according to GSC corrals last year would put me in J which is 2 below where I was for Wine & Dine which kind of surprises me. But according to half corrals from last year I'd be in F. Weird. Same proof of time for both. And my running partner is like 200 ahead of me bib wise but looks like she'd be in I and I'd be in J.

It's the "Challenge Curve" - despite what the calculator says, rD always penalizes you in PoT if you're running a challenge because of the back-to-back aspect.

I'm one back from where I was for W&D, BUT - I had a better PoT than for W&D this race. Well, I mean, my husband did since his name is the one currently showing up on MF as the registrant!

In other news, I told him it looks like he has to go to Florida and run Princess Weekend and I will go to NYC and do work for him. He wasn't amused.

We only have 1 10K only woman on our team and she shows up on this list but not the earlier one. Our GSC runner is on both.

Should I be concerned that my name is on the 10K list, even though I deferred? My name is not that common.

You're not the only one. I think this was a bad pull from Active and I'm hoping that RD releases the actual bibs and waivers sooner rather than later because this is getting annoying.

I got the email back saying it went through. It just made me a little nervous.

Agreed. I guess that's what we get for going through the back door to get it!

Found my bib number using all of the letters in my last name (6). When I tried the first couple, it didn't work. Thanks for the tips everyone! Can someone post where I could find how those numbers corresponded to corrals in past years? I couldn't remember how far back that info was given.

Last year at Tink I wore a new skort, I had tried running in it for a short 3 mile run and had no issues, at mile 6 I guess the shorts had stretched out and rode up. I used the bio freeze at an aid station to make it through. So I just received my pink nike skort for the half and the shorts are also short, I am debating wearing a pair of additional shorts under it or using body glide. I have never used the body glide so I am bervouse about something new. But I dont have time to try the skirt as the weather is too cold right now... So pondering shorts or body glide...

It's so hard to be so close and be having clothing questions.

Biofreeze for chafing, eek! I'd die. Can't stand that stuff. Glad you could deal with it and that it helped you!

I agree with Keels and Keah. I mean, it's brilliant, what people find, and it's fun, but dangit disney. Get goin' on this.

Let me say...I am NOT a fan of Marathon Photo.
Overpriced and very few good photos...especially for the amount of photos taken. Hope you get the CD corrected.

Based on last year's corrals I would be in E and my sister would be in H. Not too bad. I'm probably going to drop back and run with her.

There are two of us with my name so I'm either in the 25k or the 35k bibs.

Thanks @JenniferJuniper based on last year I am in a much earlier corral than I thought I would be. Guess we will find out for sure soon (I hope, c'mon rD!!)

I found my GSC bib number and my fiancé's 10K bib number! Woohoo! Mine is in the 20,000's and my fiancé's is in the 30,000's, so it's looking like most likely corral D for me for the half. Couldn't find last year's 10K corrals (we didn't run the 10K last year), so I can't figure out where we'll be for that. I'll most likely have to move back to be with him, but that's perfectly ok with me.

I had a great 5-mile training run this morning! It kinda made up for Sunday's miserable long run, so that's good. I feel so much better now, and no tendonitis flare-up in my ankle. My spirits are definitely lifting, and I am so ready to get this show on the road!

Thank you! Just got a stretching band a few months ago, so it was not on my packing list, just added it! I use it ALL the time and love it!

I found a hack! So there is probably a better way to do this but I was messing around with the address of the bibnumber finder since it kind of looks like some of the coding languages I use.

(Changing "lastName=" into "lastName%" seems to bring up the full list. But, like I said, sorted by first name.)

Then I used the "find" feature in Chrome to search for my name and it scrolls down to it.

Thank you for this! It was killing me not telling my sister last night, but I didn't want to worry her because we couldn't get her bib #. Found it this morning. Her number fits corral D from both 2014 and 2015. I was worried about her having to move way back to run with me, but if mine holds close to 2014 or 15, it will be D or E, so not bad. I dropped back 3 to run with her last year, so I think she should be fine with this

Come on RunDisney, give us the official bibs and corrals!
