Official 2016 Princess Half Marathon Thread

I have one of their bags. I love it and use it a lot. It has held up far better than any of my other bags.

I need some advice from the girls... for the girls. I have three sports bras. All VS but all manufactured at different times and with different amounts of wear. Two are the same but one is slightly different. But they are all chaffing in the same spot. No matter how much body glide I use, I'm getting a blister in my cleavage! But only on one side. And chaffing diagonal from it on the other side. I suspect it is from the way I'm moving my shoulders during a run. I have to figure something out because this Red Sox bandaid in my cleavage isn't as sexy as one my think!

They're so much more durable too. You can take one out in the rain or whatever and not worry about it getting ruined.

One thing to note is that they bags can get heavy since they are made of seat belts - especially the ones that have the sort of "basket weave" pattern like this one:

I have 2 streamline crossbody bags (the Americano and the Mickey Loves Minnie - which I see is totally gone from their website!) and they are pretty light. Similar in size to a Vera Bradley hipster...awesome size.

I so love both of those bags!! I have your grey mini messenger in black, and I've been considering the grey. That bag is amazing. Took it to Paris and London a couple years ago and it was the perfect size for travel. I completely agree about durability - I have three boys and we're on the go a ton, I'm constantly throwing these bags into the car, out of the car, out in the sunshine, rain, snow, etc. They spill things on my bags (and on me) constantly. With these, no worries!

I've never had problems with chafing or blisters except with my old sports bras. I love moving comfort brand, but the racerback designs (mostly Juno) were not great for me. So I switched to the Fiona (a non-racer back design and very soft) and love it. The only thing is that I was old-school with straps - wanted all straps to be covered by my tank. But I got over it, and with the pink, blue and black straps, it looks like layered tops rather than a bra.

I'm a D Cup finding the right bra has been challenging yes the chaffing, body guide! I usually wear a moving comfort bra the Juno, but it has started to chaff don't know why. I just bought a bra from Sturdy Girls the wiggle over the head is hard but very pleased with this bra not chaffing very comfortable. I will get another one of these. The hard thing is getting the wiggle down! It comes with wiggle instructions! Love this new bra it has been good even on the long runs so far I has taken it on 17.5k no problems.

For those on the treadmill, and chrome casting videos during your run, just wanted to add another favorite! In addition to the Lee Hoedl videos (thank you, Lee, for getting me through marathon training last year!) I found a Goofy Challenge video by mardin323 (his name is Martin Miguel) and it's awesome! Good camera work (not too shaky) good music and very festive!

You guys are horrible enablers! I went to Harvey's website and I love their Minnie bags so much more than the princess bags the last few years. And they are half the price of the large Dooney. I think I might have to buy myself an early mother's day present!
Oh, yeah, enablers. I didn't know about Harvey bags. Went to the website and fell in love. The little red hipster Minnie bag I'd like is sold out. Oh, well.

Just to enable a little more . . . it looks like they are now listing the red minnie hip bag as "1 in stock!" Amazon also sells Harveys. :) I don't think they have the minnie bag right now, but you could always keep checking!

I just deferred my GSC entry to 2017 due to injury. :( I want to wish you all luck in your races, and have so much fun!

I have on an old Juno right now. The moving comfort just isn't comfortable enough for me. I also have a Fiona and while comfortable, it isn't enough support for running. Although I'm considering just going without a sports bra and let my fun bags fall where they may!

That stinks! I am so sorry you have to deal with all this, but happy you know it is not a permanent problem. I hope you have a smooth recovery and rehab. Good luck and thanks for all the knowledge you have shared here!
