"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

my costume is pretty much complete!! i like it and think that for the most part it looks pretty good parts of it were hand made with some help but it just makes me love it anymore debating on the pants though not completely sure what to do but i guess will se what happens i started working on this thing back in January lol

can't wait to see all the costumes!!

Throughout this thread a few people have stated that it's hard to get everything done in one party night (so you need two). We only have one night, but we don't do character meet-and-greets. Taking that out, will we have trouble seeing/doing everything in one night?

I beleive you can I have never felt strapped for time and i rarely do m&g.

Also, bit OT, but, nice to see a fellow OCC person! I've been participating for years now and it was awesome when once i got a response from one of the kids!

I don't think it will be a problem. Make sure your aware of the weather. If there's even a hint of a chance of rain be sure to watch the first parade, we have been rained out of the second parade before. Also, truck or treating is much busier at the start. Don't waste time then standing in longer lines, save that for the middle and end of party.

I am so excited to say that my DD14, DD12, and I decided to dress up for MNSSHP :goodvibes, DH didn't want to go this year so he will be hopping over to Epcot to walk around and have dinner at Teppan Edo. We will be dressing up as the characters from Inside Out (I know shocker, there probably will be a lot of those characters walking around). DD14 is dressing as Disgust, DD12 will be dressed as Joy, and I will be Riley complete with a sponge hockey puck to hold for pictures. We completed all of our outfits yesterday, however I thought it might be a great idea to have them hold some balls or "globes" while taking pictures (nothing too big of course, just big enough so I can put them in our backpack when they don't want to hold them). DH said that we should all act like the characters in the movies when interacting with the characters and the CMs.

You should try and find those clear craft Christmas ornaments, they are on the small side, but easy to carry and you could either paint the inside or put a glow stick in them.

I'm so excited for our party! :Pinkbounc I just got two more rolls of my tulle material for my tutu I'm making. We've been so busy doing things these past two weekends just trying to get things done before Disney that I have not had time to make the tutu yet. I'm doing to do it this weekend! I'm still debating if I'm going to do all one color on the top layer and the second color as the underlayer...or if I want to do alternating color strips. Hard decision, maybe when I start making it I'll be able to decide. I'm also going to use invisible thread for attaching to the tulle, thanks for the tip on that! I'd never heard of invisible thread before until I read about it here on the Disboards.

So i never really got an answer before. What time do people start sitting on the parade route for the first parade? I would prefer the late parade but we have an elder who would rather be in bed by then ;)

Last year we started about 5:30ish/6ish but we were over by the castle. You probably wouldn't need that early.

When we walked in a little before 4 (as early as anyone without a regular ticket can get in), there were already people camped out on Main Street. Hopefully, the majority of them were just taking a break before continuing with their plans, but I am sure some were there reserving a parade spot.

That's why this dessert party thing was so enticing to me.

People will start camping out on Main Street as soon as they let the first party guests in at 4pm.

Has merchandise information been posted anywhere yet? The party starts in 3 weeks but I can't find any info on stuff that will be for sale.
