"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Thanks! We had an amazing night. Here is a short thread about our little adventure. Lol

ETA: With the board upgrade, all the pics are now on the first page. Lol
I seriously got a little teary eyed reading about your adventure! It's stuff like that, that keeps us going back to WDW vacation after vacation. It's the Disney Magic. My friends just shake their heads "another Disney trip?". Yup! But when you experience stuff like that- how can you not?

I can't believe it's taken us this long to do a MNSSHP. I'm trying to determine if our next Vacation with be during Christmas. I feel like that's another big WDW event we have to experience!

That's actually kind of brilliant!!! Thanks for the suggestion!!!

My backup plan was to go as Candace Flynn (my real name is Candice) since I'm obsessed with Phineas and Ferb. My daughters name is Isabella and I so badly wanted to do Candace, Isabella, Phineas (Hub) and Ferb (Son). Oh well. My husband wants to dress up as Bob from Bob's Burgers- I tried telling him it has to at least be a little Disney related :haha:
Ha Bob would be hilarious. Who knows you may become a MNSSHP addict and end up doing it another year.

That's a great idea.

My kids are also only 4 and 6, and DS (4) doesn't remember our last trip 2 years ago- so I suspect you're right. Once they see what it's all about, they will likely come up with some ideas of their own. The only way I could see it working is if we did Marvel characters- my son is obsessed with Antman and my daugther loves Wasp. Unfortnately she's so obscure that I can't find a kids costume and I can't sew. I should look into turnaround time to have something made, because I'm sure if I brought up the idea of a Wasp costume to DD she would freak out.

I have had both of my costumes made by a seamstress. It took about 6 weeks for a full dress with a pattern, and about 3 weeks to get a cloak done without a pattern. Some cosplay sites take commissions I am unsure about that route though I did not try it. I pieced together my first costume (Rogue Avengers version) from items I bought from different clothing stores.

I think Wasp would be fairly easy to do. A basic strapless black dress (for a kid, may be more difficult). I'm sure with a little help on youtube I could do the cutouts. I'd just need someone to sew them on. The gloves, boots and wings (and antenea) I'm sure could be found between costume stores and ebay.

Love Rogue. Good choice.

Cool thanks. Yea, but it decided to be 86 degrees at midnight that day. Made wearing a cloak, gloves and a scarf quite fun. Good luck on it it sounds like a unique costume! I have not seen ant-man yet but if she was in it its possible they will release actual costumes in conjunction with it via disney store or something.

I did see a Antman costume on the website- though I don't believe Wasp is in the upcoming movie. My kids adore the comics as well as the Marvel cartoon on netflix.

DH wants to go full on Storm Trooper- I told him I would not be taking time out of my vacation to take him to the hospital due to heatstroke haha

It was 93° the day of our Gravity Falls costumes. I'm honestly not sure how I didn't pass out! :rotfl2: This year's wig is going to be very hot, but you know...accuracy and all that. Lol

Does anyone know if Mickey will be wearing a different costume for the party M&G?

This might not be the right place to ask, however which QS locations are open during the party? Are they open for the duration of the party?

I wouldn't spend valuable party time in a restaurant. Since you can enter MK as early as 4:00 with a party ticket, I'd do that and get dinner out of the way before the party starts.

Okay. We will do just that! Thanks!

My DD and two friends are going on their own Disney trip - they land October 31st, so of course had to buy tickets for the party on the actual day of Halloween! The three of them plan to go as the Power Puff Girls.

Having never gone/researched the party - how full does the park get when the party is sold out? Is a sold out party the same as a park at capacity?

It's estimated to be about 25,000 people, which is about a quarter of normal park capacity.

Are we allowed to talk about Disney Dinning Buddy? I don't want to break the rules. I do want to say how awesome it is I got a dinner reservation before the party thanks to them though!

Anyone seen Golden Outpost open during the party? I am jonesing to try the loaded fries, and want to know if I should plan on hitting it outside of party hours. TIA!
