I could just use my band but honestly I'm still leery of the multiple ticket on the band thing. Which I know is stupid. I've done bands 4 or 5 times now and never had any problem with the ticket portion of the process, but better safe than sorry.

I'm the exact same way. Captain Paranoid here! I am going to use our hard tickets to scan at the entrance, but for fastpasses I should be good to use our magic bands, right???

We thought about that. It would be super easy, especially since my daughter has a Snow White costume, but seemed kind of boring to us.

Ok...so we were thinking of a group costume of Little Mermaid, but now my husband was thinking of 4 sets of heroes/villains (my son did not want to be secondary character). My daughter wants to be Rapunzel so that would mean I would be Mother Gothel. Any suggestions on how to make a Mother Gothel costume so that I wouldn't have heat stroke? That one seems like it would be so hot!

Could just get a light weight red maxi dress, I once got a halloween costume from prom dress clearance. Plan though for you to be able to wear sneakers with it, was the smartest thing I did for my costume.

This Elsa costume is killing me. I spent more time on this costume than my touring plan!

Thats why i gave up on Elsa last year, looked to be insanely hard to make and I figured everyone would be her.

I feel you all on costumes. This Aurora and Philip costume is going to be so much work still. I really hope Philip meets in the park. And I want to go to the dance party and totally waltz like in the movie. I'm obsessed with these costumes.

This is exactly what I do with no issues, because of the costume i choose to do I can't use the fingerprint scanner so it all works out in end I get in and get my fastpasses on my band. Just make sure the tickets are in your MDE, I may have missed if you said they were or not.

This is exactly what I've done this year. My partner and I are going as Meg and Hades, I searched for a purple maxi dress with the intention of editing it to make it more "grecian" but was struggling to find anything... After lots of searching, I just happened to walk by a prom dress clearance and the perfect "meg dress" caught my eye. What's more, no work needed and it was a steal. I would never have thought to look for a costume there! A sash and some gold broaches and my costume will be done

Maybe a gold trim around the neckline and her belt? Oh and the hair, Mother Gothel is all about the hair

Mother Gothel is definitely all about the hair I agree! I wonder if you could make or find a flower that lights up? Doesn't make sense wiht the story but helps designate the character maybe.

This is our first party, 9/15. They boys don't even know we are going to Disney yet so add in a Halloween party and they are going to be thrilled. Where we live it is the norm to wear your winter coat under your costume, not sure how to explain to them that any costume they choose should probably be some sort of shorts and t-shirt with the heat we will experience.

We decided to do 2 parties! So add us for 10/23! 2 adults 1 child. Also going 10/20! I think we've figured out costumes.

10/20: my son will be Jack Skellington, husband ?? and I will be Marion Ravenwood from Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark (the red outfit from the market)
10/23: son will be Boba Fett, husband Chewbacca tshirt and I will wear my han solo dress

So glad to see this - we too decided to go to 2 parties - 9/15 & 9/18. 3 adults, 2 kids. Anyone heard anything about ticket availability? I want to wait until I get next check but could go on & pull from savings now ...
