I was about to register. Apparently, there is a $10.90 processing fee for going through active.com. Is there any way around this? I personally think paying another $11 for a procesing fee is ridiculous.

Not that I'm aware of. Its similar to getting ticket on Ticketmaster and paying their fees to manage the sales.

No way around that I have found. Be careful though and watch your CC statement. Last time I registered with active.com they posted a charge to my account for an active.com membership of some sort to the tune of $75, but it was months after I registered for the marathon through them. They did refund it, and apparently this happens a lot.

And one last time. Any way to side step that fee? Maybe calling rundisney directly to register? Doesnt seem to be the case, but just making sure Thank you.

And you think that's bad.. You can only imagine how much it was for dopey... plus any extras.... I admit I was shocked, BUT I was signing up for Dopey no matter what so it was what it was.. Didnt like it AT ALL but again, what choice?

You mean you were charged a processing fee for each of the 4 races?

It was about $35 for the Dopey and a pin. Not sure if it goes up for ordering the merchandise though.

yes, it is a percentage of the total, not a fixed price..

just looked, the total fees for dopey, and 1 of each of the pins, but 2 for 5k and 10k was $41. Best part? I typed in the DVC discount but forgot to 'claim' it so didnt even get that

It says you dont go by the %.. if you go try to register you get that screen.. It is full.. and on the active site it shows as sold out before you click what you are registering for.. I didnt just make that screen up..

think it's more a weekend thing then anything.. On the rD site it has the infamous disclaimer... "Events may sellout before percentages can be updated."
