I joined a local running program - basically, they are doing a Fast Track (train to a 5k, programs anywhere from beginning to run to trying to race and place). Last night was 1000m repeats, which I followed with 6 miles today (and 4.5 of them at above any race pace past a 10k).
I'm sore, tired, and not looking forward to the 10-12 miles that I need to run tomorrow. I know it will get easier, once I get used to ramped up mileage and speedwork, but that's not much consolation to the here and now. It will all be worth it when I pass by the gospel choir at mile 48.4 or so.
