Official 2013 MVMCP Information

Hello all - a cast member just told my mom we did not need park admission if we just go to party. I thought we did - Cant imagine paying for a day and not using it. Does anyone know for sure?

You only need your party ticket to enter for the party, which you can do as early as 4:00. If you want to enter before 4 you would need your regular park ticket.

Wow! So we could book an early dinner and then stay for the party? That would be great bc we don't arrive until that day and hate not to be there at opening and pay regular ticket prices.

So excited to go so cant wait for 180 day mark :)

Yes, that is exactly what we do. Dinner around 4-4:30, and then we get in line for one of the special photo ops around 6.

I have been checked going on attractions and try to buy something with out a wristband. Trust me on this if you have stayed in the park after the time for the party to start they will take you to the gate. It would be bad to be banned for something like that, Staying in the park without a ticket. I have gone to MVMCP for the last 9 years. I have seen folks be asked to leave. Do it at your own risk. Do yourself a favor buy a ticket for MVMCP.

Do you get the advanced purchase savings if you buy them in the park for the next day? I, too, want to wait to see how the weather is...and see if my then 4yo will be able to stay up late enough to enjoy it.

Advance Sales Tickets can be sold up to the last Park closing the day prior to the Party. When the computer clock clicks over to the day of the Party, the advance sale pricing tabs in ATS are eliminated.

One more thing: can I buy them anywhere on property (like at Epcot or our resort) or only at MK?

This will be our first time attending the MVMCP! We are all very excited. I didn't know that we could use the ticket to get in as early as 4pm. We have BOG reservations at 4:30 and I thought i was going to have to purchase a tiket to get us in my 4 to make our reservation, so that is great news!

When the MK castle is lit up during Christmas with all the Christmas lights, can you only see that during the MVMCP, or is that done every night.:)

Do they 'do' snow on main. Street at any other time or is it only christmas party guests that see it.

I was there last year and the only time I saw "snow" at MK was during the party. I will say the party was worth the money it was great and after the fireworks ended the park cleared we actually rode Dumbo 2 times in a row without getting off!!!

I've never attended this event.
Wondering if this event is worth it, price wise.
Only planning on spending 3 days in the Magic Kingdom, will have a 4 year old and a 17 year old. I understand the park will close to non attendees.
Any other positives about the event? Do you see the castle all lit up on regular nights?

I was there last year and I think it is def worth it. Once the fireworks are over a lot of people leave and the lines for the rides are great! My girls (2 and 4) loved the fireworks and the parade!! Going again this year!

We have our tickets for December 10th. We have no children with us. The last time we attended was 10 years ago and loved it. We are making no plans for the next day since we were exhausted.

Yes!!

My family did the party a few years back and loved it!! Snowing on Main St. was cool, parade is awesome and the castle is amazing!!

I got to buy my santa ears hat which I still wear every Christmas!!

We have been to the MVMCP once in each of our last 2 trips (2010 & 2012). We are planning on possibly booking 2 nights of MVMCP. There are just so many exclusive merch, rarely seen meet and greets, and let's not forget the walking on with no wait to the E-ticket rides.
