Official 2013 MVMCP Information

People were already lining by for Santa when we walked past at 5pm. *4 families were already in line.* People were already getting spots for the 8:15pm parade along Main St and the Hub. Crystal Palace was running 10-15 minutes behind so we finally got insid It was a great party, it wasn't sold out but didn't feel that much less crowded than the sold out party on Friday. We got some great characters and we found the best way to maximize the wait time was to arrive just before the characters arrive.*

Thanks for posting such great info! Now I am thinking we may have to fit in a second party. Our first party will be spent waiting for the Parade. I appreciate the strategy for meeting characters too!:)

Going to MVMCP on Dec 12 for first time. Do the characters M & G up until midnight or do they stop earlier? I would really like to get pic with 7 drawfs. we have dinner at Tony's at 5:20. If we went right after leaving dinner would that be a good time to get in line?

We were at the Christmas Party again tonight. It wasn't a sold out night. We entered the park at 4:45pm. The line to get wristbands was 10 minutes. Once we entered the park, they were doing the Limited Time Magic Vetrens Day Salute. We didn't stop, it was very busy and we had a Crystal Palace reservation. People were already lining by for Santa when we walked past at 5pm. *4 families were already in line.*

People were already getting spots for the 8:15pm parade along Main St and the Hub. Crystal Palace was running 10-15 minutes behind so we finally got inside at about 5:35pm. The restaurant was fairly full but we were out by 6:30pm. We didn't want to line up for any of the priority characters so we headed down Main St, took some photos and waited for 7pm when it started to snow.*

We snapped some more photos, and then headed into Tomorrowland. Pluto was at the dance party at Cosmic Rays along with about 20-30 people. Phineas and Ferb weren't out yet as Carousel of Progress was closed as they were filming a movie inside. We stopped by Mickey Star Traders. CM's were checking at the doors if you had a wristband. If you didn't, you weren't allowed inside. The Mickey & Minnie MVMVP pin and the Chip & Dale pin has sold out. *Donald and the Toy Soldier pins are still available. The Grumpy PassHolder pin is still available.*

We left Tomorrowland and went back into the Hub. We caught the 7:45pm Celebrate the Season show. We got a front row spot on the side at 7:35pm. Main St was packed with people waiting for the parade. *

We watching the show and then headed into Fantasyland via Tomorrowland. Santa Goofy and Pluto were at the dance party but we didn't spot. We got in line for the Hundred Acre Wood Gang at 8:10pm and we were first in line. Within 10 minutes, there were 20 families in line. Their line was cut before they arrived for their set at 8:30pm. We had waited 20 minutes by the time they arrive and it was worth it, especially being first in line.*

We left there by 8:40pm and headed toward the Carousel. Minnie had a 15-20 minute wait. Rapunzel & Snow White had a 45 minute wait, Cinderella and Aurora had a 25 minute wait. We waited for neither, we went to Pinnochios for a Cocoa and Cookie stop. We then got in line for Peter Pan and Wendy, who were meeting near their ride (across from the Rapunzel restrooms) We were fourth in line and waited 10 minutes to meet them. We arrived just before they did and their line was 15 minutes by the time we left.*

We walked back to the Carousel to watch Holiday Wishes. Mary Poppins, Bert and the Penguins were meeting and their line was cut 10 minutes into their meet and greet. We were told they would be back by 10pm but we didn't line up (we met them on Friday)*

We watching Holiday Wishes and in the middle of the fireworks, Captain Hook and Smee walked past. They were meeting where Peter Pan and Wendy had met earlier. *After the fireworks, Rapunzel side had a 35 min wait, Cinderella still had a 25 min wait so we skipped them and went to see Hook and Smee. We waited 10 minutes to see them and got in just before their line was cut. According to the attendant, Hook and Smee meet just before and during the Parade while Wendy and Peter Pan are in the parade.*

We stopped into Columbia Harbour House for a cocoa and cookie stop and got a spot for the parade in Frontierland. We lined up by 10:00pm and got a front row spot near Hall of Presidents.*

Straight after the parade, we got in line for Tiana and Naveen. We were first in line and their set started at 11pm. We waited 10 minutes as Tiana and Naveen were running a little late.*

Tink and Periwinkle were showing a 35 minute wait but attendant aid it was more like 15 minutes. The Faeries were on a break so we skipped them.*We went to check out Prince Ali and Abu but they were leaving and wouldn't be back, we had already met Genie and Jasmine so we skipped them.*

The Country Bears line was cut for their last meet for the night so we headed across the Hub, paused to watch some of the show and noticed NO ONE was at the PhotoPass spots since the show was on. We did 3 photo pass spots in 5-10 minutes. Once the show was over, they were 20 families in line for all the photographers again.*

We headed into Tomorrowland and Phineas and Ferb were out. We waited 5 minutes to meet them. Once we got out, the Tomorrowland Christmas show had just started so we sat down and watched that. It's a cute show and a must do if you love Stitch, Mike or Buzz. It started at 11:45pm and it goes 15 minutes so the park was closed by the time it ended.*

We headed out of the park, Main St was still fairly full. PhotoPass was still out as we were leaving (12:30am) All the stores were closed, the balloon sellers were still out but went in at 12:30am. The balloons are $12 for the Mickey Head inside the clear balloon (red or green for the party) or $15 for the light up balloon.*

The monorail was still running when we left at 12:45am. It wasn't that busy, neither was the boats to TTC. They had countless buses for all the resorts and people were still coming out of MK as we left.*

You said the best way to maximize the character meet and greets is to get in line just before they arrive.

How did you know when they would arrive? Is there a posted schedule?

Maybe a stupid question, but is the snow actually "real", and cold/wet?

When we first experienced the snow at Disneyland years ago, the effect when it was being propelled was cool but as it reached us, our thought was "micro bubbles?" Cold and wet is a good description but a PP posted "snoap" - a perfect description!:)

Bite your tongue! Real....sigh. :rotfl2:

Grateful it's "Snoap" and will be just like this morning, gone when it hits the ground.

So grateful for a short break from the cold before it really gets permanently here for the winter.

3 days and a sleep!!!:banana::banana::banana:

Yes - is there a posted schedule??? Also do they have Photo pass picture takers at all of the character greeting spots?
Thanks.

A PP posted a great evening itinerary....Does anyone one know if the photographers w/photo pass are at each meet and greet area? Thanks.

Yes, Photopass is there. That's what helps the lines move quickly!

Yes, there is a Mickey one. I didn't take a photo of it, I will Monday but I think it's in the Magic Kingdom all the time now.

I know they offer the snowman one all the time, or at least did last year. The Santa one is available all the time now too? How much is it running in price this year? :)

Wow, what detail! I also have a question on the M&G. I have seen somewhere that there are schedules for the characters that can be fairly relied on. Did you use something like this? It seems when our kids were young we were always just missing the characters after waiting in line for a loooong time, because we qued up with everyone else when the characters arrived.
