Someone over on the FB group just posted that she got an e-mail reply from someone at trackshack confirming that there were still 8 corals. She said she has a bib 10--- and was confirmed as being in coral D.

Just more to speculate about. :goodvibes

More drama, just what we all need! LOL

I'm bib #8699! How exciting!! It feels so real now! :yay:

I'm excited to see how they divide us all up. I've never ran a 1/2 before so fast runners are intimidating but I want that buffer time from the sweepers too!

Well if this doesn't motivate me to keep up the training, I don't know what will!

My bib # is 20660. So I am sure I am in the baaaaack. But that is ok with me. I will use all 3:30.

:rotfl2:

Thanks for sharing! So you had a pace of 9 something min per?

I am a neurotic.. Corral placement watcher. I know I shouldn't be. I should just have fun with whatever. However I now run faster than I did. The time that I submitted is as much as a minute slower per mile than I currently run. It makes me wonder if I should submit a new time....

Yep. 9:53/mile. I was aiming for 10 so I was pleased. It's been harder to train lately with all the ice so I hope I can live up to my corral placement. :scared1:

I'm bib #11093! Im so freakin excited! :D

Miss Belinda...just noticed you are a USAF veteran...yeah !..DH is also a veteran and when I decided to do the PHM, he volunteered to do it with me since I had to give all those not so wonderful hails and farewells, etc during his 21 year career...Ahhhh....but he STILL won't dress in costume...I thought buzz lightyear (since it is pilot related) but no go... Oh well! Think we might be in the same corral since we are 11913 & 11914 ! Look forward to meeting you in person!

Me thinks the partying will be in the back corrals !:rotfl2: It will give us more time to stop and take pics etc.

#17846 but I'm hoping I can move up a few corrals after I give them my time from Tink (2:45) I tried calling and emailing run disney with the new time but heard nothing from them :( Can I submit a new time at the expo?

I can't belive the race is so soon!

I wanna say you can only because i've read a bunch of different race recaps from the last PHM and a girl actually changed her corral at the expo when she brought them her new time. I think they gave her a sticker to put on her bib marking her new corral. Dont quote me on that tho!

Wow, lots of action here today!

Very excited about the waivers. I'm bib #8560! :)

Yes, you DEFINITELY can do this at the Expo. There is a booth with the sign Runner Relations. It's VERY centrally located and easy to find. And the CMs who staff that booth are always incredibly helpful and nice. Bring your new proof of time with you (have it printed it out and bring your photo ID) and they will change your bib on the spot. FYI--you keep your same bib, they just put a special sticker over the corral placement that has your new placement on it.

Bib #4362 here!

Since this is all so real now, I'm trying to think out the logistics of my run. First off, I won't have any pockets and would like to be able to have my husband hand me off a GU Gel on Main St...anyone know if this is going to be possible or are the spectators right up next to the runners on the side of the race course?

Second, I saw on prior years' race maps that there's a food station between miles 8 and 9. Can anyone enlighten me as to what exactly may be offered? Is it all real food or will they have gels, chomps, etc?

I would seriously re-think your plan to leave your fuel with someone else. The crowds are crazy and finding him on the course is a major risk (if you are dependent on your Gu and can't wait until Mile 8-9 for the fuel station).

Either switch to shorts with pockets or consider a spi belt. I hate, hate, hate running with any type of belty thing around my waist, but you really and truly don't feel the spi belt.

In terms of food available...mostly Gu and chomps and stuff like that. 3 or 4 years ago they had orange slices, but I don't recall any in the past couple of years. If you are running for a charity, that is a different story. Team in Training coaches are everywhere along the course and often have "real food" for their runners. And I run for NKF and at mile 10 they are there and will get me anything I might need in terms of fuel (including a peanut butter sandwich! lol)

Awesome! Thanks so much for the info!!

Is anyone else not staying on property? Disney got rid of my husbands work discount this year so we can't afford to. Is it hard to drive there in the morning?

Sadly no...believe my outfit will consist of my CW-X compression pants and probably my fav short sleeve wicking shirt since I think it might be a warm race.

Saw your blog and thought you might want to go to the southwest airlines website as they are going to start flying to Puerto Rico and they are giving away a vacation !

On main st. as we are running toward the castle, specators will be lining the left side of the street. If he knows about when you are approaching you should be able to get something. Usaully gels at mile 9. there could be more details on exact product at expo. In the past, it has been gels and volunteers handing out and yelling the flavor.

Thanks so much for the info!:thumbsup2

Oh, that reminds me of something I've been meaning to ask! When you bring a printout for new proof of time, do you just bring a single page that has your result on it? I'm assuming I don't need to print out the entire results page, right?

Hmm... Our team bibs are 30251 and 30252, submitting a 10K that estimates a 2:05 finish time (57:00). Our friend submitted a 10K time of 1:00:00 (2:05-2:10 finish time) and has bib 5347. Are these in the same corral or not? Does it seem like they took her 10K time into account, or should she bring it to RR at the Expo?

If I was wondering whether I needed to rest/recoup, my foot made that very clear today. So, looks like my plan for the next 20 days is the same for the weeks leading up to the Tink...rest my foot as much as possible. This will mean no significant workouts for all of Dec. Jan and Feb. I am pretty sure I can finish, but the lack of working out is bothering me. :( .

My bib is 4603. My submitted time was from the Wine and Dine. 2:27:37. By the time Tink came around I had been nursing injuries for almost 2 months and finished that in 2:43:55. I had planned to do another half next month...but maybe I ought to really look at what is going on with my foot once the PHM is behind me.

I'm staying off-site. We'll only have one car for our family of 5 so I'm probably going to take a cab from the hotel in the morning and have my family meet me afterward.
