Thanks so much for posting all of these tips. Last year was our first MNSSHP & I think we missed out on a lot because we were newbies. It was still FABULOUS & our 2 1/2, 5 & 7 year olds still talk about how much fun they had. We will be there this Oct 1-8th & are really looking forward to making the most out of our 2nd MNSSHP.

Hi! Does anyone know if there will be face painting again this year, and if so, where it will be located. Last year it was in Toon Town. My daughter loved it so much last year and it was one of the things she was really looking forward to this year when we go late-September. Thanks!

I believe that it's been reported that there is no face painting this year.

I tried to get my DH to go as either of those, but he said no...lol still racking my brain to think of something for him to be. I did pick up 2 t-shirts at Disney store this week, he can wear one of them if all else fails.

Someone posted a link already to an article that said that the face painting was no longer there this year. That' too bad.

We're joining in! It's taken me forever to get through this thread but I finally read every. single. page.

We're going to the Sept. 23 party, I'll be Captain Angelica, dh will be Captain Jack Sparrow, and our 4 kids are just random pirates.

I'm so excited to just get to dress up and act like a kid again. I haven't dressed up in about 15 years for Halloween so it'll be a blast! Can't wait to see pics and read reports about the first party!

Aarrrgghhh! DisneyStore.com why do you do this to me? Found the Minnie Mouse Witch Hat for adults today and I had a light bulb go off. DD wanted to be a Black Cat for Halloween. What has black cats and are popular at Halloween? Yep, Witches. I can be a Minnie Witch. Then doing a little more research found out that Minnie had a black cat named Figaro as a pet in a lot of shorts. Perfect!

DD is all excited that I'm going to dress up, I'm a little excited, but when I clicked on add to cart the website locked up. Well, I decided I'd just order it later after we visited her Mamaw, etc. So, I get home late this afternoon and go to buy the hat and it says it isn't yet available. So after diner I try again and I get that it is sold out! I sure hope this is a mistake and I'll be able to order the hat.

It isn't like I can't still be a witch, but this was just so perfect and now I really want to do it. Found a dress to wear. Figured out what shoes I'm going to get and what kind of socks/tights I'm going to wear. Even thinking of ways to add some accessories to the costume. Please, oh please, let this hat come back in stock!

From the reports on the board, that hat seems to be widely available in MK shops. If you don't manage to find it online, maybe just purchase it first thing when you enter for the party or sometime when you are in MK before the party?

Well, as of this morning they don't even show it online any more. My DD was telling kids at the bus stop this morning that is what I'm wearing, so it looks like I may need to suck it up and call Disney Merchandising and order it to ensure I have it. If shipping wasn't so darn expensive it wouldn't be a big deal, but .
