Offical Big Brother 10 Thread--Spoilers Welcome

If you watch Big Brother After Dark Dan's always using his religion to make excuses for things. He claims he's so religious and a good Catholic boy who would never do anything wrong. Whenever the house guests ask him questions he uses his religion as an excuse for not being able to answer because he doesn't want to be seen in a bad light, but then he does exactly what he claims to never do. If that's the way he wants to play the game then good luck to him, but it's really hypocritical. Also hypocritical? Claiming to be such a good guy and then saying that a woman can't be president because women can't do what men do, calling vegetarians "weird tree-huggers" (who knew people were bigoted towards something as simple as vegetarians?!) and saying that his beliefs are the only beliefs. Sorry, can't stand Dan and I hope he's out soon.

I totally disagree! Dan I believe to be completely sincere! I feel he has led a somewhat sheltered life, but he was also picked to be AP! So he did have to try to do some fancy foot work! I DO watch the live feds and I watch after dark and I see nothing of what you are talking about, except a good guy trying to fit into a world of liars and cheaters!

What I really wished happened was that america picked Michelle for that roll and watching HER have to do that dirty work to her "Love!"

another thing that cracks me up is this group has no clue what April and Ollie are doing behind closed doors!!!! Jessie even stated that and was surprised to hear that on housecalls yesterday! now that cracks me up!

calling vegetarians "weird tree-huggers"
This cracked me up. My neice is a vegetarian because she hates the taste of meat. Has nothing to do with the fact that it is an animal or the environment.

Maybe if Libra had offered Michelle back her Hawaii trip she wouldn't have put her on the block :rotfl:

I don't think he's as innocent as he's trying to lead on. Why else would he have made the harsh comments he did in his interviews? Just the fact that he said what he did about women makes him sound like more of an idiot then sheltered to me  Either way, if he was trying not to be a liar or cheater he wouldn't have continued to tell Jessie and his side of the house that he was safe when Dan knew he was voting him out. Of course that's what the game's all about and he did nothing wrong, but it was right after he was using his beliefs to try to prove to everyone that he'd never do anything like that. It just seems really hypocritical and he needs to come down from his holier-than-thou high horse

What I don't get is why they are so offended by people "talking behind their backs". I mean, what else is there really to do in the game? LOL Everyone has to talk about SOMEONE at some point, even those with otherwise high morals. I also don't get why they are so surprised about people going back on "their word". I would imagine everyone is in the game to win it! Yes, in order to protect yourself, sometimes you might just have to lie. It is a game, it's not the "Let's see who is the most honorable person" show.

Exactly! That's really what I was trying to say. A lot of them go around saying they'd never go back on their word or talk bad about anyone (as Keesha repeatedly likes to put it, she's "just not like that" ) but then they do it anyway. And they should, that's what the games about! If any of them have ever seen the show before they'd know that only one person can win and the only way to get there is to lead people on, form and break alliances and yes, to lie. That's the name of the game. So it just gets old for them to all sit there saying how high their morals are and how they'd never do anything wrong, when that's not the way to win the game and they blatantly know that by doing exactly what they claim they would never do. Dan just happens to be leading the pack, followed very closely by Keesha. At least Jessie just put it all out there

Well, I mean the pre-show interviews are part of the hype! I'm sure Big Brother tells them to play it up to make it seem like the HG's will clash and there will be lots of controversy. Anyways that's not him being Cathoilc, that's him being very Conservative. I certainly didn't expect such an ultra Conservative person to be so nice to a gay man! So that's what I don't really buy the pre-show interview hype.

Either way, if he was trying not to be a liar or cheater he wouldn't have continued to tell Jessie and his side of the house that he was safe when Dan knew he was voting him out.

Dan didn't know though! It was up to America, not Dan! Anyways, Muslim, Catholic, or atheist, you would be a fool to tell the truth to the other HG's. Someone is going to get lied to.

I don't have the live feeds or AD so I'm just not seeing what you're talking about. I haven't once heard Dan talking about how high his morals are. And even if he has, I haven't seen him doing anything immoral. He's not just a Catholic, he's a Catholic school teacher. Our society does hold teachers to a higher standard. We don't say they can't have opinions, but we do expect them to be a good role model, as in not having sex on a national TV show, getting drunk and in fights, swearing and acting foolish. So yeah, I do expect Dan to "be a good guy." I don't considering telling a lie on telling someone you've got their back to be bad or sinful, this is a reality TV show. I'm a pastor's kid, and God knows what I'd do for $500K! :scared1: I guess I just don't really care about the hypocrites. If being a hypocrite got me $500K, I would be the best damn hypocrite in the world!

So I still like Dan and I'm sticking too it ;)

he wouldn't have continued to tell Jessie and his side of the house that he was safe when Dan knew he was voting him out.

See - I don't think that Dan knew he was voting Jessie out until he sat in the chair in the Diary Room and Julie told him that America is using their vote to evict Jessie. Dan had an idea that it was probably Jessie, but he didn't know for sure.

I don't watch enough BBAD to see how "hypocritical" Dan is being. After a season with Evel Dick, I'll take a guy like Dan anyday!! (If Dan made outrageous comments about "women can't be President" etc, BEFORE getting into the house, it was probably his ploy to get chosen to be a Houseguest. You have to have an angle or be unusual to get this gig.)

(Too funny - Free4Life11 & I were thinking the same thing - takes me a while to proof my posts before I submit them. But we have the same idea regarding Dan.)

He didn't know for sure, but has has spoken about how religious he is and how he's playing the game based on his beliefs, and he told Jessie he was safe after he'd already sworn on the Bible that he was voting Jessie out. He literally put his hand on the Bible and swore to vote Jessie out and I couldn't see him going back on that. After he got called out for being so hypocritical he even went and took his Cross off for the first time in the game and that was a big topic of discussion in the house. It has absolutely noting to do with him being Catholic, he could be any religion. It's just the idea of using your religion to get ahead in the game and trying to use your beliefs to gain trust, when you're going against it yourself that seems so hypocritical. Again I just think actions speak louder than words :confused3

That being said, I'd rather see Dan win than Keesha or Libra

You have got to be freakin' kidding me!!!!!

I'm guessing he will keep the nom's the way they are. That house will do anything to get Libra out. I just set my DVR to record tonight's BBAD, something tells me its gonna be a good one!

he WAS going to take Keesha off and put up Dan, but then he said he will respect Michelles wishes. there was also money prizes 10 grand, 5 grand and designer outfits that the girls I guess got.

looks like Memphis is wearing an onion necklace! lol. I know this had to do with weighting and cutting onions. They are all complaining of onion juice all over them!

now they are waiting on there feast! Lobster and steak..:scared: (yuck)

NOOO, now Ollie and April are trying to throw Keesha under the bus! I so hope they BOTH go on the block next week!
Jerry is now talking Keesha also!

Jerry said the other night to keesha, he liked her and he will always have her back. But the count is not what they were talking about, it was them outing Keesha and jerry using the POV and putting up Dan and getting keesha out. But then they stopped talking about it. But ollie and April will be gunning for her.

I love Keesha, Renny and Dan...that is it.

This is exactly why I didn't want Dan to be America's Player. He was trying to establish this trustworthy guy image. When he remained true to Brian in the voting , everyone believed they could count on him. I believe that if he were not AP, he would have voted to get Memphis out. I certainly can't fault him for choosing to be AP. I'm sure the Diary Room people swayed him to accept the job too.

As for the game, I hope Michelle dumps April, Ollie, and Jerry. Those 3 are the worst. I see Jerry is always flipping off Dan and Libra now behind their backs. That is no class.

Reading about the feeds on Morty's site, it sounds like Jerry has gone off the deep end in his hatred for Dan. Cool it old man - you'll give yourself a stroke!

I just watched BBAD. Can they stop giving them booze. If they give it to them at least shut them off when they get drunk.
The girls are all fighting.
