7 days until we arrive. These next 5 days of work are gonna be tough! Did my LL selections this morning. Only doing it for our first MK and HS days. Almost doesn't seem worth it for MK with big thunder and buzz down.

I have to go to work tomorrow. We leave early Tuesday morning. Going to be the LONGEST Monday ever lol. We only did LL for HS days too. We will probably end up getting ILL for Guardians at some point.

Here now had our first park day today. Went to MK to catch the starlight parade which started at 945 doesn’t bode well for anything wanting to catch the later parade

Also want to try to snag a reservation for the new pirate bar that opens when we are there. Probably won't get one but I'll try.

I had no problem getting what we wanted. I only booked for our 2nd and 3rd day of our trip so early on and the times were good. I would have liked a slightly earlier time for our ToT LL at HS but that wasn't too bad. We did buy an ILL for guardians but that was it. We may buy more during our stay if needed they typically dont sell out far in advance.

Confirmed. August 18 to 22. Trying out the Swan this time as my bounceback offer expired (and didn't really have any resorts i wanted). Got a super deal on UT..like $200/night.
3rd disney trip in the past month! July 25 to August 2 WDW...August 9 and 10 Disneyland..and now this. Driving across country with the boy for my 1 month sabbatical which also includes Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon!

Does it do it because of the pop-ups? I suggest getting an ad blocker (I used adblock plus on chrome) and it helps a lot!

Just returned today! It was hhhoootttt folks. Crowds weren’t bad at any of the wdw parks or studios/islands.

Hi all! Joining in after planning the most last minute trip ever, 1 week out! Had a serious case of FOMO after seeing all the MNSSHP pics and plans on Facebook. With the pass holder discounts and lower prices in August, it became doable.

We’re staying at WL, with plans for the H2O Glow Party @ TL, MNSSHP, and a park day of EPCOT & hop to MK. 3 quick nights, and back home for a Labor Day weekend rest & reset before school starts for kids. No ADR’s.

For those who have already visited, how have the crowd levels been? This is the most DVC availability I have seen since we bought in 2 years ago!! I wish I had a glut of points, we could go wild.

Sorry to hear it’s giving you trouble! I will second @disney-inspired with the suggestion of using an ad-blocker for your browser while using the DIS. I use one on both Chrome and Firefox and it’s a tremendous help.

We’re heading into shoulder season. A lot of schools are going back already and crowds and pricing reflect that. If you can tolerate the heat and peak hurricane season uncertainty it’s an ideal time to go imo. Crowds see a slight uptick during Labor Day weekend but even that isn’t awful especially compared to other holidays. I usually do a solo trip around that time every year.

I decided to get an umbrella at Typhoon Lagoon for arrival day so as not to stress about finding a chair. I didn’t end up getting there until around noon last time and ended up getting an uncovered chair roughly in Narnia, and my towels got rained on.

That’s a solid plan. I also appreciate that they provide towels with the rental, so one less thing to carry in and out.

We are attending the H20 glow party at TL on arrival day. It goes from 8 - 11 pm, but they allow you to arrive as early as 6 pm. Since it’s our arrival day, we can go even earlier! A bonus I didn’t initially realize.

We’ve been to WDW once before in August, and it was blazing hot. But it was earlier in the month and still crowded. I carried around frozen water bottles in a small cooler, which was a lifesaver! Our plan on this quick trip is to avoid mid-day outdoor activities, and enjoy parks from 5 pm and on. I realize it will probably still be hot well after dark. Just hoping the rain holds off and nothing is cancelled. And hoping all of the availability means lower crowds/less waiting. Good point about most kids being back in school, and it’s pre-labor day crowds.

I'm doing the same at Blizzard Beach. We are doing TL as well later in the trip, but I get a beach shack there as I know we will stay most of the day.
