Offered a"Special Rate"on the phone

I called WDW yesterday to book PC for Jan. at the $55.00 rate. The CM told me that my account had been noted that I was offered a special rate. Ends up, I paid$49.00 per night. I guess I've been very lucky because this is the second time this has happened to me. Last year I booked CSR in Dec. and again was given a special rate. Has this happened to anyone else?

I was offerred a "special rate" when I called to make the reservation for our upcoming trip.

$400 with tax, 6 nights for DW, DD19, DS16 and I @ ASMu.

Our rate for the 2 rooms at PC (tax included) for 4 nights came to $437.00.

Alot of times, there are codes and rates under your name that you may not already know about... Like, those who get the famed postcard already have that code under their name and info in the computer. even if the postcard got lost in the mail, if they happen to call to book a room, the CM will be able to pull up any codes and offers they are eligible for.

I would bet that is what happened, you somehow were eligible for a special rate that was already in the computer =0 What a welcome surprise for you!!!!
