Offer changed? Hoping TA is wrong

TA (Costco) is telling me that the 150% for my March 14 is a limited time only offer and could change any day at any time. Anyone else heard that the offer was for a limited time only? While I assume they will only hold it for a limited time before simply cancelling and refunding, I would assum I have more than 5 days to make a decision.

Also, he said this is a per person offer and if one person is thinking of cancelling, I could replace them with someone else and still get that credit. That sounds fishy.

Did you get the email from DCL about it or did that only go to your TA? It might say in the terms and conditions in the email. I wouldn't be shocked if you had to make a decision by a particular date.

Given how overloaded the call centers are right now, I cannot imagine it would be a limited time offer.

Given the offer, I cannot imagine it's not a limited offer.

Different silo, but DVC has changed its cancel terms multiple times already. In a week.

I was on the same cruise as @FigmentSpark but I did my booking through Small World. Here is the text from the email I received directly from Disney:

"In an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our guests and employees, Disney Cruise Line has decided to suspend all new departures beginning Saturday, March 14, 2020, through the end of the month. This means that your sailing on Saturday, March 14, 2020, has been cancelled.

While we know this decision may be disappointing, the health and welfare of our guests is of the greatest importance. We are equally committed to the wellbeing of our incredible crew members who live and work aboard our ships. During the suspended operations, Disney Cruise Line will continue to pay our Crew Members and shoreside Cast Members.

Given this short notice, you will have the choice of a 150% cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of your original sail date, or a full refund. If you select a future cruise credit and are not able to use it, you will be eligible for a refund up to the amount you paid in full. Standard prevailing rates will apply for future cruises. Guests may contact us at 1-866-325-2112 or 407-566-3510 or contact their travel agent to select the option that works best for them.

We appreciate your understanding during these unprecedented times and look forward to welcoming you aboard in the future."

I have been in contact with my TA and up to this point she is saying that I am not able to rebook yet as Disney hasn't gotten all the kinks worked out on the credit. Has anyone been able to re-book?

Okay, I did get some better answers. The TA at Costco finally had the DCL CM come on the line to answer my questions.

So, first, apparently all credits have been given already, but if you want the refund they will process it. In that way, there's no time limit, other than I have 15 months (per the offer) to use those credits before they expire.

Each person (castaway club number) gets their own credit, not per reservation and each can be used on any sailing they want. It doesn't have to be the same sailing, but it is only one sailing.

Any leftover credit can be applied as an OBC or to anything you can book through DCL. So if you book air or insurance or transfers or even pre-pay tips through DCL, it will cover it. She said it will even cover the land portion IF you book that land portion through DCL and not through WDW.

The credit is the percentage promised, less the taxes. The taxes for the cancelled cruise are going to be refunded to each person in the method we paid, so don't toss those gift cards, people.

They have not made a decision about placeholder credits yet. The CMs have been asking the same question and no answer has been determined. Presumably, once that happens, our TAs will be notified. I did ask for a direct email, if it comes to pass, but I don't know if that will happen.

You can not change the name of a credit recipient. The credits are non-transferable. You can put people in rooms however you like, though. Also, one person's credit can't be used to cover someone else, like an extra guest.

Hope that helps anyone else with questions.

I just got off the phone with a Disney CM. They claim that the 125% FCC is based purely on the voyage fare - i.e. not inclusive of taxes. So, you have an option of either (A) 125% FCC of the voyage fare, or (B) 100% refund of the amount you paid including taxes.

I haven't seen the definition of the FCC anywhere. Is this in line with what others are hearing?
