What washing machine do you have and do you love it or hate it. I had a 7.5 kilo fisher and Paykel. It lasted for 10 years but it's just died. I would like to get a bigger one but Fisher and Paykel only go up to 8 kilos. I'm after a 9.5 kilo one. The money for this stupid washing machine is coming out of our disney savings, No fair. So it HAS to be worth my money.

What a bummer. I wish I could help but i only have a little washing machine. I really need to upgrade mine too. I had my previous Simpson washer for 17 years though.

We got the Electrolux top loader 9.5kg EWT 959 and love it. But although only 'new' (couple years old at most) it isn't available anymore.

I'd never get f&p. I looked at their magical water saver one and there were scathing reviews of the fact it doesn't rinse properly.

I can't recommend a model as we only have a small machine for the two of us.. but if ours is anything to judge by I'd recommend checking out Simpson as a brand. Ours is a top loader and it's fantastic, we've never had any problem with it at all, it's quiet, washes well, doesn't use massive amounts of water and it's also pretty old too (we got it second hand from a family member)

Awww you poor thing.. I had to get out of bed once to fix the dishwasher and that was bad enough (and I don't work nightshift!) Maybe be time to upgrade to save your sanity?
