The boards just seem so quiet. There has been some posting lately from what I might call "new friends," but the last few days have been sooooo quiet!

Okay, it's time to see who's around! Even if you lurk everyday, sign in and say, "Hi!"

I don't think I know most of you on this board anymore.

I'll start. I'm Lori. My husband signed us up how-ever-many-years-ago that was and gave us our lovely "name." He doesn't use the boards nearly as much as I do, so when you see eller it's usually me. I always sign my post, Lori, so if you don't see that, it's DH.

I am an at home mom of 3; 15DD (starting to drive -- pray for me!), 9 and 7 DSs. Although, I do Pampered Chef, I still consider myself an at home mom. I love to quilt. I scrapbook. And most of all, I love to travel.

Disney and Universal Orlando just happen to be the best place for our family right now. We've enjoyed the cruise to the Carribean and are planning on doing it again in October. Dh and I love to do the food and wine festival in October. That is why we try to go at that time of year. I long for when the boys are older and we can travel at Christmas. We've done it once, but that was too much in shipping.

I do rewards to afford the "extras" for trips and sometimes just extras around the home.

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone else. And like I said, even if you just lurk, sign in and say, "Hi!". Please don't fell like you have to give a bio.

Have a great day!

Lori

Hi! I used to post here back in the freeride.com days. But now it is just answers for reward programs. The only rewards program I still do is e-rewards. I'll use those points to rent a car at WDW in Dec. I hate that all the reward programs have gone to surveys, yuk!! I want to ride the bus!!

I 've only managed to go to Disney a few times. But it is home to me!!! I love the magic. And Tinker Bell. :tink:

I have Dd in college now so every extra penny has gone to that.

As Dd is older now, I want to do a "Adult trip Only" Now!! Our Friends are driving to Anaheim to see her family and ask us to go with them, I jumped at the oppertunity, So in May we will go to DL, Dh and I want 5 day hoppers so we can be at Disney very available moment. But It must be done for as close to a $1000.00 as I can possible hone it, due to the fact We all [same friends]want to go to WDW in Dec and I must save BIG money for that.

For WDW I am planning 2 trips, my dream trip and the a Reality trip. While planning to stay AK conc. to do the early morning safari also I'm making entertainment book ressies at grosvenor hotel just in case.

I'm the disney nut, Dd loves it too, I think Dh does too, but he has to complain everything is too expensive.

My a DIS addict[check out my post http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1011628] but you find me on the budget board most often as I'm always trying to save money for a WDW trip!!

Pixie Dust for you all and your DISNEY TRIPS!! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hi Lori!! :wave2:

I'm still here!!

I post when I can. I have been on the Community Board posting. Not sure if any of you go over there but had some problems with DD's school and that consumed alot of my time. I was doing a lot of venting on the CB so those posts got quite long.
Anyways, I am a stay at home mom to DD who just turned 10. I help in her school and also do scrapbooking (when I can) and sew. We are saving for a trip in October where DD will be competeing at Disney's Sports arena for a Karate Tournament.
We need to liven this place up :cool1:

I'm still here. Haven't done rewards much since I got back from our trip in June and then my laptop got fried over the summer, and having to share a computer with a DH and 4 boys, meant I didn't get much computer time. Now that DH is back to work (he was on medical for a year! ) I have more time to do my rewards, so I started back on them this week.

I'm a SAHM of 4 boys: 15, 13(14 in 4 days!), 12, and 9.

Hi,

I'm Faith and I love Disney. I have 2 girls (I was about to say little girls... but they aren't so little any more) I've lived on both coasts, so have had yearly passes to each US Disney site. We usually don't stay on property since we live near one site, and have grandparents near the other site. Our last visit for our 4 year olds birthday we stayed in Cabins at WDW and it was awesome - so nice to have a kitchen and fix our own dinners. We all really want to do that again. I also want to go on the cruise in the next year or two...so I'll be asking alot about the cruises.

I'm doing CreationsRewards and QuickRewards for Disney Dollars, and doing freeride and a few other click programs which seem to be dying...so I need new click programs to join.!!!

Faith

Hi Tink2dw. I'll have to get over to that Budget board and have alook around.

Hey Sherry. Long time no see. Glad to hear your back on board (no pun intended!)

Glad to have you join us Faith.

Hi Shweetie

Hi Everyone! I am Kimberly. I have posted a few times but it has been a little while. It seems when I dont have a trip in the works then I tend not to do my reward programs. Now that we have a trip planned for November I have reason to pay more attention to my reward programs. I still do mypoints and I used to do rewardtv.

I am a military wife to a wonderful guy who lets me plan Disney trips without giving me any problems as long as we dont put it on credit. I am very lucky. And we have two children who are 8 and 5. (Hard to believe my babies are that old. :goodvibes

I am a college student with 5 move classes left. :teeth: And I volunteer at Navy Marine Corp Relief society a few hours a week to help service members who are in need of financial help. Very rewarding :grouphug:

I look forward to getting our little group here going strong again.

Hi Gang! Good idea for a thread. The board has gotten pretty quiet lately. When I was first learning about reward programs, this board was hopping! I still do a few programs, but the payouts have really slowed down. Now that there's no Disney trip in our near future :guilty: , I don't have the same motivation to earn those disney dollars!!! I do still try to check out the boards though. Nice to see many of you are still around too!

Hi guys! I've been around quite awhile, although I'm pretty quiet, most of the time, unless I see some point opportunity somewhere that no one else has spotted!
The only thing I'm doing now is mypoints, and of course ebay.
Oh how I miss the days of tupperware and 800 points for each banner you could find!!! WOOHOO!! :woohoo:
Went to disneyland back in early December, but always need another trip!!
I'm a workaholic, no kids, wonderful husbad  :lovestruc (see my tag) :rotfl:
I do read the budget board and community board faithfully, and of course the rewards board. :thumbsup2
Nice to meet ya'all :wave2: :wave2:

Hi all!

Thought I would pop in and say hello. I'm not always a regular lurker or poster but I start browsing the boards whenever we are planning a trip or I need a disney fix.

I've been doing rewards programs for years to help with the "extras" so I can convince DH that we can afford another disney trip, lol!

We have 3 children, 5 yr old DD, 3 yr old DS, and 1 yr old DD, and have been to disney 4 times in the past 5 years. We'll be going again this summer for a quick trip because I won a 5 day/4 night trip through an online sweepstakes!  We haven't received all of the details yet, but I'm hoping we will be able to extend it a few days. We usually drive down and stay a week or so around orlando and then head to the beach for 5 days. If we can't, no biggie, but it would be nice. So, here I am trying to earn a few extra disney dollars and cash for our trip. As we all know, rewards aren't what they used to be.

Maybe we can start a thread of the more profitable programs these days to help everyone out? It seems that most of the older programs are very slow earners these days, but many of the newer PTR are unreliable, don't pay, change their terms, etc.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Sue. I lurk semi-regularly and post occasionally. I've been doing rewards programs for years. I am keeping track this year of what I get. I have done so-so on this in the past but I set up my spreadsheet first thing this year and have kept up with adding to it.

I'm doing mypoints, creationrewards, survey sites, cash back shopping sites and ebay.

I have a ds11, dd8 (soon to be 9) and a dd2.

We weren't planning on going to Disney again until next year but...DH is going to a conference at the CSR in March. His airfare, food and hotel are paid for. We would just (JUST) have to swing airfare, tickets (for all, he just gets a one day pass with the conference) and food for the kids and I. The resort will cost the same if he stays there alone or if we all stay there according to the cm who took the ressie (something to do with the conference rate, I guess) so that's good. I just wish we had known in October, we could have gotten APs and not had to worry about the tickets now.

So we shall see what we can rack up in rewards and ebay. Also, our tax refund is bigger than we thought so that was a bonus.

I hope that we will see more reward programs popping up and staying. :sunny:

Hi Kimberly, CJK, cuterlt, bartelby1, and Sue!

Amen to that!

I'm here! I'm deb, and I'm using rewards programs to save up for a trip to Disney. I know I'll never be able to "points" the whole thing (I miss riding the freeride bus) but I figure every penny I earn this way is one less we have to come up with.

It's me, DH, and 3 kids.

I'm doing creations rewards, memolink, mypoints, quickrewards, and mysurvey. I've posted some epinions, too but that's such a slow earn now. :rolleyes2

I mostly lurk, but I've posted a couple trivia answers when I got here first.

deb

Welcome Deb  I hear ya on that epinions :rolleyes2

Hi everyone,
I'm usually lurking every now and again, but I have not been nearly as much a regular as I used to be! I post when I find out something new that I think might help out. The kids are getting older and I can't get to the computer as often!

Sally :wave2:

Hi Sally! Nice to hear from you again.

Hi...

I'm Damian. There aren't many men on this thread ;)

I've only been doing Rewards programs since 2004....but, this board got me started. I'm an IT guy / Accountant for a tug boat company in South Louisiana....so, I'm in front of a computer all day.

In the old days....(late 90's) I used to do the paid to surf programs like AllAdvantage and Spedia that had you download an advertisement bar onto your system and you were paid just for looking at the scrolling ads all day.

I also was big into the Paid To Read E-mail stuff back in 2004 and still have accounts with AdPaid.com and GainMail.com

I mostly do surveys and reward sites, now. I'm in charge of purchasing computers and office supplies for our company. The company lets me charge these items on my credit card and I get reimbursed. That helps a bunch for vacation savings since I can purchase computers and office supplies through MyPoints, QuickRewards, Memolink, and CreationsRewards using my Disney Visa card and not spend a dime and not cost my company a dime either but still collect rewards from these sites and points on my Disney Visa.

Being I'm an IT guy....I also get lots of great paying surveys and studies. I have a spreadsheet going from April of 2005 until now and have saved close to $1700 using all these programs for our next trip in June 2006 (rewards and surveys). I'm on SurveySavvy, Survey Spot, Pinecone Research, Intelliquest, GoZing, AMI, U30, Sage Research, Keynote, Directive Analytics, and Lightspeed.

We are currently building a house and I was still able to save enough money through these programs to fund our annual vacation.

I'm a father of 1....DS6 and the husband of 1 as well....DW33....living in the swamps of south Louisiana.

Anyway....just wanted to say hi and that I appreciate the info everyone posts to this board. I am like many others in that I seem to slow down on my rewards programs if I don't have a trip planned. So....I just try to plan a trip every year so that doesn't happen! :smooth:

Speed :teleport:
