Hi my family of 4 (6 yrs old and 4 yrs old) is going to drive from Toronto to ROchester musuem for the first time next month. We will also go to Eastview mall for shopping.

Got some questions:

1. Does the museum have wifi? 4 hours of visiting is enough?

2. What things would be worth buying at the mall? (either they can be hardly found in Canada, or much cheaper than products sold in Canada )

Thanks
TC

Have fun in Rochester! It's our "secret" US getaway as it's juuust far enough to keep the tour buses full of Canadians away.

I can't speak for the mall (we went but I'm not a mall guy and spent most of my time in the mall trying to find a way to get her out of the mall) but on Monroe St., pretty much between the museum and Victor, is Trader Joe's and they have some really cool stock that is unavailable in Canada.

DW went crazy there, too, but at least I got to eat the fruits of her passions.

Hi...I am a native Rochesterian. What museum are you planning on visiting? The Strong Museum of Play? Their website has some awesome information on it, but I'm not sure about wifi. My kids are older and believe it or not, I've never been! As far as how much time to devote to the museum, I think it all depends on the ages of your kids. From what I understand, the exhibits are fabulous and really immersive so you may want to plan for more time if possible.
As far as Eastview mall is concerned, the variety of stores is fabulous. Von Maur is an upscale department store that has great sales and many items you can't find anywhere else in this area. The mall has a lot of specialty stores there too.
I hope you enjoy your trip to our fair city!

We visited the Strong Museum of Play last summer and we LOVED it! It took us about 5.5 hrs to get through the entire museum, but we followed our children's lead.
I'm not familiar with the mall, but I do recommend the Waterloo Premium Outlets if they are on your way. They are between Syracuse and Rochester.

You can easily fill an entire day at the Museum but 4 hours would cover a lot.
