I almost jumped out of Space Mountain... my dad had to hold me down I was screaming "STOP THE RIDE!" and tears were rolling down my face. After that ride I was scared for life and was afraid of the dark forever.

HINT: Not the best ride to go on for your first trip to WDW when your 7

Too funny....reminds me of myself when I was about ten years old. Our parents took us to Palisades Amusement Park in NJ (gone now) and I thought I was such a brave girl to go on the coaster with my father...he was all happy to have someone go on it. The ride up was great...oh, look at the view Daddy!.....about 2 seconds later I was screaming to god to save me, help me, my father's arm came all the way around the back of my shoulders and had to pull me in as I was scrunching so far down in the seat he thought I was going out the side of the stinking thing!!

Uh....I never did recover from that!! Coasters are not my thing!

Hmm, reading these last few posts is making me re-think my plan to bring DD3.5yo on Goofy's Barnstormer in a few weeks...

My chicken boy of 6yo, decided that this was his favorite ride on our last trip. He had been on one other kiddie coaster at American Adventures and was terrified of them (the coaster at AA was small but very rough). I convinced him that Barnstormer would be a piece of cake because his 2yo little brother could even ride it. Needless to say, I felt like I was on an endless loop of riding it. My 2yo tollerated the non-stop rides well, but was ready to quit riding it after the first go round. As far as first coasters go, Barnstormer is a good start because it is smooth and short. A good test is whether or not your 3.5yo will ride POC or Malstrom without fear before you get her on Barnstormer. Have fun on your trip!

But, that sounds like an improvement from my last trip, which was an endless loop of It's a Small World.

We'll see -- if she's feeling brave, we'll try. If not... Well... It's a world of laughter, a world of...

Oh Be! I feel for you, I really do!! :lmao:

When my 8 DS asks to go on Small World, I say without hesitation "NO"...

When my 8 DS asks to go in the Enchanted Tiki Room, again, I say without hesitation "NO"...

LOL! I really am a bad parent... :rotfl2:

Have fun!! We are there May 3 - 8. When are you there?

No, I doubt it. It's probably because your 8 year old doesn't melt into a screaming, Beastly, Ball of Fury when you say "NO"...

May 7 - 12, but we'll be going with a family who has never, ever, been to WDW before (and with their two toddler to preschool aged kids as well).

I would've liked to have met up with more DIS people while down there (DoomCookie / Taryn and the Capes will intersect, and I think Califgirl will be there at the same time, and ElectricLime lives down there too; Jellyrolls / TLinden is clearly trying to do everything she can to avoid me, by arriving the day after we leave), but I don't know that any kind of schedule will be at all under my control, so I just don't know...

Of course, you could always just look for the wild-eyed, desperate, near-the-end-of-his-rope daddy, going around and around on Small World, mumbling incoherently something about "Must kill the dolls... Kill... Burn..." How's that for a DIS meet?

Ya Know Be....I have heard that if you are not careful they (the dolls) will grab you off the boat and "change" you in order to put you into the ride....Be Careful...lol

Tonight, DD3.5yo said the words that would warm any parent's heart:
-"Daddy, I love you."

Of course, she continued with:
- "I love you more than sharks. Because sharks are bad. And scary. And they bite people."

It's so nice to know that I'm appreciated.

:rotfl: That's the funniest thing I've heard for a while.

That is WAY too funny!! :rotfl: :rotfl: I can't stop laughing!! Those girls of yours are precious, I don't care what you say!! :teeth: (we know you truly don't think of them as "beasts" lol!)

Hey! Congratulations on your move, by the way!! Woot!

I was on a trip with some friends and my best friend Leah loves to prank call people. (We were playing this game and there were four girls, and six boys. Us four girls ( Abbie- me- Laurie, Leah, and Nikki ) we all got "married" to a boy.)
This is where the funny part comes.

My friend Leah had four kids. Anna, Leondray, Devontay, and Juicy Jr. But Anna got sat on by some girl we all four don't like. So now she only has three. We all wanted to call someone. Do my friend called someone we don't know. Hence the name " Prank call". Anyway, she calls this lady and she was like " can you come drop off Juicy Jr. now?"
The lady was like " Who?"
Leah, " Juicy Jr.!! "
the lady... " You have the wrong number!!"
So leah yelled in the backround, " WHERE IS JUICY JR.??!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Then Leah was like...
" Your stupid Shut up!" and she slammed the cell shut. We all laughed for hours. it was hilarious.

Just wanted to say that I really wish my real life would slow down enough for me to at least "hang out" with my VMK friends once a week...

I AM HERE........Miss you all :( :(

Good to hear you're still around -- was just thinking I hadn't seen you at all lately.

I know what you mean by real life... In the past week, we've moved to a new house, DD1.5yo is sick with a fever ~104, and yesterday, got rear-ended by an idiot Boston driver (wait, that's redundant) AND the roof of the house we just moved into sprung a leak.

Wow.....and I thought I have been busy!!

Hope your "little beast" is feeling better............

You're okay from the accident right.......accidents stink.......

Good choice of house Be!? (Just Kidding!!)

Look at it this way....Your week has GOT to get better...........pixie dust and magic and all that stuff thrown your way..............

I had the worst dream that someone could EVER have last night!!!!!

It was early this morning (like all dreams are) and I was dreaming I was in WDW!!!! We were walking all around the Magic Kingdom and were just about to go ride the HM and I was so excited because I have not been on that ride for a long time, and then I woke up!!!! I was so upset this morning, it felt like I was REALLY there. It was so depressing knowing that I had to get up and go to school and that there are still 76 more days until we go to WDW this summer.

Like I said, this has got to be the WORST dream a person can have when s/he is so far from going to WDW again! LOL

Oh, Be! Not a good week for you! Hope things get better.

Oh yay! Another person whom I had wondered what the heck happened to.. Good to see you're still around too :)

It'll get better.

After all, in 4 days, I'll be in WDW ;)
