OFF TOPIC...my city is overrun!!!

Downtown Buffalo is over run with news reporters! 5 men arrested for ties to Osama lived in Lackawanna..whose previous claim to fame was that Barb lived there 25 years ago!!! I can't believe how many reporters are hanging around. Lackawanna is about a 15 minute drive from my house. I live north of Buffalo and Lackawanna is just south of the city.

I was just telling DH.."This is NOT the publicity we need" The FBI and border parol are beefing up security in this area now...I have thought the border should have been tightened up a while ago.

Nancy.. I so understand.. today my small town was overrun with many police, marksmen on the buildings, tactical patrol forces, etc. etc. as a white supremacist had rented a room in our local library for a meeting.. there were protestors protesting his meeting picketing in the middle of our town, basically shut down the town.. all the merchants closed as they were expecting trouble... Police in riot gear.. I am in shock.. so I do understand.. All I can say is Yikes..

Nancy...I hear you...I'm from Buffalo too! And I'm going to DISCon2 for the first time as well

So, let's see, our great city is now known for the terrorist raid, Barb living here, and tons of snow in the winter. No wonder we are going to escape at DISCon2!!!

Just to clarify, so Barb doesn't complain, she didn't technically live in Lackawanna, she lived in Blasdell which is just a hop, skip and a jump from there!

Kelli, when are you leaving for DISCON? I fly out on the 3rd.
