hi
sorry I know this isnt about florida. I watched the new airport series and did not realise that if your flight is delayed by 4 hours you get a refund with them. Suprised ne how many people arrive late at the airport then rant and rage because the gate has closed!

I am currently watching one where a swiss buisness man turned up 20 minutes after chck in closed and is demanding to get on the flight. DH has just said he would hate their job but i would love it LOL I have a real sadistic streak :lmao:

Don't believe all you see.... ;)

A few years ago when we travelled to DLP we got a cheap deal Aberdeen - Luton - Charles de Gaulle. Only problem was we had 5 hours to kill at Luton.
This meant we saw a lot of the film, staging;) and key airline staff.

We saw a crowd of about 10 Italian lads arrive at the Easyjet desk. As the film crew were hovering about DP said lets hang back as I don't want to be filmed. A producer/reseracher had a word with the group.
Roll the clock forward 1 1/2 hours. The camera man and sound engineer take up position behind the girl on the check in desk. The boom is checked carefully to make sure it is not in the camera's vision. The producers hold back the other passengers waiting to check in... Then the 10 lads come running, sweating and puffing and asking if they are not too late to board the flight. After much flickering of eyes and much gesticulating by the Italian lads it just looks like they might make it before the captain says no more passengers :rolleyes1
I'm sure not all of it is controled, but everytime we watch now we wonder ;)

:scared1: thats terrible, still with all the hassle recently about staged shows i suspect that will happen less often ;)

The first time I went to America I nearly did just that. Coming home I hadn't registered that I'd arrive home a day later than I left, if I hadn't been looking for the phone number to confirm my flights (do people still do this?) I wouldn't have checked my tickets and I would have missed my flight home.

I was sad to be leaving the friend I was staying with a day early, but so relieved I didn't miss my flight.

My sister is even worse. We live in Mallorca and once she took her family to London for a few days and flew in to Luton airport. She was due to fly out from Gatwick but forgot and went to Luton instead and had to get flights back the next day.
Another time she was supposed to be travelling back to London for a school reunion and lost her passport somewhere between check-in and passport control so couldn't go.
I am going to Orlando with her in December and haven't been able to fill in her passport details on the Easy jet and Virgin web pages as she has now lost her passport again along with that of one of her daughters.
Need less to say I'm the one in charge of everything to do with this holiday.
