Am I the only one who gets a little bit sad as my vacation approaches?
I mean, in just two short weeks we will have gone and come back and
Disney will be over for at least two years. That makes me very sad.
Kinda makes me wish we weren't going so soon. Is that weird?

:rotfl: Yes, it's weird! Just kidding. I wish I had your problem though but I think I can understand. In any case, don't be sad just have a fantastic trip!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I guess that's just another symptom of being an UBERPLANNER!!!! Planning Withdrawal!:scared1: Our trip is three weeks out and luckily I still have LOTS to do!!!

tyniknate,

 You're not alone. We head down to see the Mouse in just over two weeks, and already we're talking about all we have to do when we get back! YIKES! :scared1:

I'm an uberplanner too! We're driving and there's note on our itinerary for the day of our return trip to call the local pizza place when we're 30 minutes from home! :lmao:

But then I stop and remember that I'm going to Disney in just over 2 weeks! And the excitement is back! :dance3: :cool1:

You are definitely not alone! It's kind of depressing to know that it that trip that you've planned so long and hard for will come and go so quickly! The only thing that can cure it is to plan a new trip ;)

Thanks, it's good to know I'm not the only one. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that we're able to go at all, considering the way things have been going lately. Hubby's work schedule has been considerably cut during the past year as noboby is buying new homes right now. We're lucky we're still able to go, but I gave orders that no one was to touch the Disney money FOR ANY REASON. We've worked hard and saved everything for the past three years to be able to go. We deserve a break.
I guess my sadness comes from knowing it will all soon be over and I know that realistically I can't look at planning another trip for probably three years or more. Guess I should just enjoy what I do have while I have it.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. Now I have to get ready for work and the state auditor who is coming in today. I'm the new girl and wasn't around for what he's auditing, but everyone else took the day off. Is that a bad sign?

Have a great day, all!
Eight days and counting!:woohoo:

Ohhhhh I completely understand and agree with everyone's thoughts and opinions. I was planning for out late August trip in April, day and night, at all hours! :lmao: and I, too, as the time approached caught myself thinking that, well, this time in 2 weeks, i'll be back home doing this or doing that...etc. Finaly I had to stop myself and just remind myself that this time in 2 weeks, I am going to have memories and pictures to last a lifetime :thumbsup2 We kept our trip a total secret from our children, so we were on a constant high up until we told them where we were going on the plane :rotfl2:
And I TOTALLY agree with what one person stated, when you get back, start planning and looking forward to your NEXT trip....and start a trip report when you get back...I did, its in my siggie below and its a great way to relive every single moment! :lovestruc
Relax, deep breath and enjoy the ride it takes getting there...and savor every single moment when you arrive :cloud9:

I totally get it! I LOVE the month before you go to Disney! The kids are getting excited, planning is great because you can talk about it and it doesn't seem to be forever away! I have been planning this trip with my FIL since February when it was the earliest we could book our flights! As for the resort, I did that a long time ago! PLUS we also have all of the excitement of Christmas on top of it all!!!

BUT, just try to enjoy it, don't look at the end date, just look at the going date! When you are there, just think about the day you are on! It always goes by so quickly!

(jealous you are going to see the Halloween decor!)

It's funny you posted this as I was just thinking a couple of hours ago, that this time last month I was packing my carry on bag and had everything ready to head to the airport....I too was a little sad to think it would be over too soon, but I have to say, NOT once while we were at Disney, did I think the time was going too fast...From the time we left for the hotel near the airport so we could fly out at 7am everything was awesome...never could I have planned it so well...I prayed hard and often for all the things that only God could answer and Praise Him HE did:) The kids even got the Dream FastPass...that too was one of my little prayers...I need to start praying for the girlfriend trip next year...I won't ask for much this time as things were perfect this year:)
