That means we are just THAT much closer to our trip!

Name Change!

We've been struggling with picking a name for our TR. Nothing seems right. But we're thinking this one might actually possibly work!

We changed from "The Sister's Trip to WDW," to "Never Had Friends Like Us The Princesses' Trip to WDW," and now we're at.....

Off To The World With The Frumpy Princesses! ♥

Now, you're probably wondering what the heck is up with our title. "Frumpy Princesses?" You may be asking, how can a princess be a frump? (if you even know what a "frump" is.)

Well, "frump" happens to be our favorite word. And it has taken on very many definitions in our lives, for it is verycommonly used in our vocabulary.

A frump is generally someone who is very lazy and sort of a mess. All of us go to/have gone to an all girls school, where you don't really have to care about how you look. So, to describe that lack of ambition to care about our appearences, we have the habit of calling ourselves "frumps."

Now, don't go thinking we're total slobs over here. Frump is sort of exaggerated. But, it is a brilliant word.

For example, when you wear your hair up because you don't feel like doing it, it is not called a "bun," but it is called a "frump doo!"



See? Not that bad. But, very important stuff.

*Sidenote - Vick is not very frumpy, because she always dresses very nicely. it's just part of her being to not be a frump. So, she falls under more of the "princess" category.

Now, the rest of us may be frumps, but we are princesses too! Not snobby, bratty princesses, but we are more like DISNEY princesses. With the hearts of happy little girls.

So, hopefully that gives you a good idea and some background on our little group.

I'm sure there will be many more little inside jokes, terms, etc. that come along and develop on this trip, but don't worry, we will explain as much as possible

Restaurant Alteration!

So, today while talking about our trip, Kristen and I had an epiphany.

Our last day we were planning on going to 1900 Park Fare. Which involves a bus and monorail ride from Yacht Club. And this would be at 8 in the morning, so we'd be very tired.

So, we were thinking - it only costs a few extra dollars to add on a park day. And we're staying at Yacht Club where you can WALK to Epcot right into the World Showcase.

So, after thinking it over, we decided to change our reservation from 1900 Park Fare to.....

AKERSHUS!

And Vickie is a big fan of the princesses and was sad we weren't doing a character meal with them. And now we get to have a character meal with Mickey & Friends, Pooh & Friends, AND the Princesses! It'll be great

So, the reservation is set and now we'll get to spend our last morning at Epcot! What a brilliant idea

Merry Christmas

I love this holiday. The tree... the cookies... the presents... the family. But you know what the best part about Christmas is?

It means that we are ALMOST TO DISNEY WORLD!

It's a major milestone we had to get to... and here we are!

And as a dis-er, you would expect nothing less of me than to have some Mickey Mouse Christmas cookies in the batch

Four Turns Into Three.

Unfortunately, we found out yesterday morning that Rhe isn't going to be able to come on our trip.

If you forgot who she was... here's her biography from the original post when we first made the PTR.

Rhe

Rhe has only been to Disney a few times and doesn't remember a lot of it, so this trip is going to be a chance for her to experience a lot of Disney for the first time! She loves theatre, so she's most excited to see Finding Nemo - The Musical in Animal Kingdom, because she knows all of the music but hasn't seen the actual show yet.
Favorite Theme Parks: Magic Kingdom or Epcot
Favorite Restaurant: Crystal Palace
Favorite Ride: Soarin'
Favorite Disney Character: Nemo
Favorite Disney Movie: The Lion King, Toy Story and Finding Nemo
Favorite Disney Song: "He Lives in You," "Circle of Life," "Prince Ali" and "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride"

Rhe is starting college at a new school 2 days before we get back from Disney, so she was going to come down and leave early, but she figured it's a better idea to just save the money and stay home all together.

Why you wouldn't want to go to Disney is beyond us, but that's okay. I suppose education comes first

We will miss Rhe a lot, and we're very sad she will not be able to join us. However, we are asking around to see if somebody wants to take her place. But it's very last minute, so we don't know if anyone will be able to drop everything and head down there.

If it was Kristen or me, we'd go in a heart beat. But that's another story.

So yes. The four princesses are now down to three. Plus mother, of course.

But no matter what happens, we're gonna have an amazing time! I guess we will see how this all turns out!

We Got Our Lime Green Mickeys and Mini Planners!

We're really starting to get close to our trip! The past two nights Kristen has slept over and we've had Disney nights where we've played Disney Apples to Apples and Disney Monopoly to get us even MORE excited!

And of course we've spent a decent amount of time on the Dis... looking at pictures of delicious food until about three in the morning

Today we took a trip to Home Depot and got our... you guessed it... LIME GREEN MICKEY HEADS! We don't exactly know what we're supposed to do with them... But I suppose we will figure it out eventually. Someone suggested laminating them and using them as a luggage/purse tag.. that's a good idea! If anyone else has any other ideas we'd love to hear them.

We also got some Christmas Winnie the Pooh window clings. They were the ONLY window clings we could find anywhere! We'll be a couple weeks late with the Christmas theme.. but hey, it's still January. It's still snowing up here back at home.

And we got some Window Markers and Crayons to decorate our window with at the hotel. That is allowed, isn't it? Like housekeeping won't wash it off or yell at us or anything, right? I guess we will have to find out for ourselves

Then for Kristen's Christmas present, I made her a little Disney Photo Album of our vacation plans. I got the idea from onescgirl's PTR for ♥ Disney Vacay with the Love Bugs ♥. I love this trip report, and the idea was adorable so I tried replicating it for myself. I think they turned out pretty cute and I made one for me too!

Kristen's was the Snow White one and mine was Cinderella. (although I would have preferred Jasmine. )

So that is what we've been up to for the past few days. We can't wait until everything is all settled with who is going and such. We also still need to get our tickets and figure out our dining. Ah, we are so close, yet so far.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2011! January 2011, to be exact.
And what does this mean? It means..... we are now in the MONTH AND YEAR of our Disney Vacation!
Happy New Year to us!

The trip is 2 weeks from yesterday! WOOHOO!

I can't believe we're almost there. In one way I feel like I've been waiting forever but at the same time I feel like it's just so far away!

But it'll be here and over before we know it! So I have to enjoy this anticipation... even though i'm going a little crazy!


In some exciting news, our friends Alicia and Jessica are leaving for their Disney Vacation tomorrow! And we're really excited for them! I hope you guys have a really magical trip! Take lots of pictures!!

And in some OTHER exciting news, (not disney related but still pretty important) we received an announcement about our musical "The Music Man" today. It seems that one of the girls dropped out because of college auditions, so after a few casting alterations, I was casted as one of the pick-a-little ladies in the music man! Before I was just a townsperson. So now I think that new enhancement comes with an extra song or two!

It came as a total surprise to me and I am beyond happy! The school that we audition at is a little competitive and it's hard to even get in the show to begin with. I can't believe I got picked to step up out of everybody! It's such an honor and I couldn't be more excited

However, I am going to Disney World twice during this production, so hopefully they will understand my conflicts. I'm a little nervous about that. But I told them ahead of time! Disney is really important. I think it's a pretty legitimate excuse right.....?


Oh and also some other news to report, we were unable to find a replacement for Rhe's spot. So, it's just going to be the 3 of us and mother! Which will be totally fine! But in case you were wondering, it will just be us.

Alright, well, that's all I really have to say for today. I'm anxiously awaiting our arrival to Disney. I'm just so excited. Once we get past this week of school we will be in the clear!

I hope everyone had a fantastic New Years! 2011 is going to be a fantastic and disney filled year!

13 DAYS! (well... now technically 12 because it's after midnight! AHHHHH!!)

P.S. After looking at the post and seeing all of these animated smileys, it is very evident how excited I am tonight to go to Disney World.

We're All Set!

Just to keep everyone updated....

WE OFFICIALLY BOOKED OUR DINING PLAN TODAY!

We had some issues on deciding whether or not to get the dining plan, pertaining to cost, but after doing some math we realized that getting the plan would just be the easiest thing for us to do!

So now we can eat our little hearts out at all of the delicious disney restaurants

Strawberry Shortcake from Sunshine Seasons has been on my mind lately. And Kristen's too.

And also....

WE OFFICIALLY BOUGHT ALL OF OUR PARK TICKETS!

We are picking them up the day we get there, but they are all purchased and paid for now!

Mother and I both got our FIRST ANNUAL PASSES!!! Because we are going a couple times this year. Yay Yay Yayyyyy

And Vickie and Kristen got their 6 Day One Park Per Day Passes. So, it'll restrain us from hopping around, however, we might as well master each park while we're there. It's probably worth saving that little bit of money.

So now, we're all set! And there's nothing else to do except PACK! And wait. And wait. And WAIT. That's the hardest part.

We went back to school today and it just dragged... so badly. It's just taking so long!! Thinking about all of the stuff I have to get through in the next week and a half just makes it seem so much farther away.

But I guess we'll just have to take it one day at a time! And we'll arrive shortly!

1900 is Back in the Game

So, last night my Mom got a phone call from a random number on her cell phone. So, she didn't answer. However, they left a message so we decided we better listen to it... it's probably important.

It was the Magic Kingdom calling! Well, some girl from the Magic Kingdom, anyway. She told us that on our last night the Magic Kingdom is closing at 6 pm! I guess the park is being shut down for a private event. (I really wonder how much money it costs to shut down the Magic Kingdom.)

Anyway, we had a reservation for Tony's Town Square at 5:50 pm, so obviously that was going to conflict. So, I called up Kristen and asked what the heck should we do now!

Thankfully we were able to think of several options. And after talking it over, we decided on.....

1900 Park Fare

Originally we were going to go here on our last morning for breakfast, but we changed it to Akershus. And thank goodness we did, because it is the absolute perfect solution for our last night.

You see, Kristen and I really wanted to ride the monorail, but we didn't have a reason to because of our one park per day tickets. But now we get to take the monorail over to The Grand Floridian!

So, as I always say, everything happens for a reason. And I've been to Tony's SO many times, but never to 1900 Park Fare. So, it'll be a whole new experience for me and I think it'll be a nice relaxing way to end the trip!

Afterwords we can either just head back to the Yacht Club or we can go to Downtown Disney! So the Magic Kingdom closing early actually is totally okay!

Yay well that's some exciting news! When you think everything is set, something is bound to change, isn't it?

Single Digit Dance

We began counting down 108 days ago for this trip!

Then we got into the double digits quite quickly and have been stuck there for a while.

And now look! Here we are and there's only 9 DAYS LEFT TO GO!



WOOHOO!

The excitement just increases every day!

And on top of that, we did our online check-in today! So, we're seriously all set!

Maybe I should get started on my packing because I'm just being so efficient and getting everything done in time. But I will probably end up scrambling over something at the last minute.. that always happens.

Eeeep! Yay Disney!
