Off to the airport, and not a moment too soon

There's never a bad time to go to WDW, but this has been a week to end all weeks. Two of my 3 daughters got a terrible stomach virus that lasted all week, I'll spare details, but one needed IV fluids. We also found out an accounting error meant we suddenly owed the IRS a huge amount of money--yikes!
But all that pales, because on a much worse note, I lost a dear friend this week who took his own life, leaving 2 small children, he had been clean for 6 months and we were all so proud of him. Nobody realized how much he was still struggling. I am tortured by the pain his family is enduring. For those of you who pray, please consider this young man and all the people who struggle with the burdens of life next time you bend a knee.

Our last trip was a few days after Sandy, and we left amidst the devastation here in NJ. These trips are fortuitously timed.

Our car to the airport comes in 30 minutes. I can hardly wait.

Have a wonderful trip and may you have safe travels! Times of renewal are good for the soul. Praying for your dear friend's family. What tragedy we sometimes face in life.

Have fun and enjoy the blessings in life!

Sorry to hear your bad news. Have a safe trip home. God bless you and your family.

wishing you lots of rest, relaxation, and magical moments to help heal your wounds.
there will likely be times while in WDW that you feel the need to cry - do it, let the tears fall, say a prayer for your friend..... then look at your happy, healthy family and remember once again how fortunate you are, and how wonderful your life really is.

:)

wow--that is a rough spell. hope the magic of wdw douse
your family with many new memories to keep.

saw where they retired "sandy" tells how bad it really was. i
think one of the best thing about the parks is emotional
respite. hoping wdw gives you the same kind of feelings.

sorry for your friend loss. a very close co-worker had a similar
loss. she is rallying to fill her grand-daughter losing her mother.

don't know the exact cause but the other things mentioned
reminded me about a real risk- to those struggling against
addictions. ( she/co-worker feels is what caused her loss ) &
it may explain something that was not intended. so much,
that we adding it to our education programs. when a person
is actively committed toward recovery & has been "clean"
for an extended period , their body tolerance goes down. but their
"cravings" often do not keep up. the "danger" comes from
using the same amount prior to going clean. thus setting
them up for an over dose, accidentally. added here, because
of the similar situation & just in case it can be used as a comfort
measure. ( your close friend sounded courageous with his
efforts to fight this, as this is a very challenging condition to overcome
& i am sure your support was important to him )

ps, this is one of the reason we used our disney vacations for too.
