Hi,

Today looks like the day that it's out with the old clothes and in with the brand new clothes. I have needed to overhall my closets for a long long time, but never got around to it. Now that I have gotten my nice bonus at work, I decided when I went to bed last night that I was going to use part of my bonus on it and finally going to go out and do it. I have piles and piles of clothes that I have put off washing, that in reality actually just need to be pitched. I can probably reduce it from 7 piles of laundry to about 2 or 3. Don't get me wrong, most of the clothes are in wareable condition, but they are getting a little old and it's just time.

For once it's going to be nice to shop for what I want and really not worry about the $$$. I never thought I would ever be excited about going out and getting clothes, but I really am looking forward to it :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I will let you all know how it turned out this afternoon when I get back.

Have fun--I did a clothing spree once and it was a lot of fun. I'd love to use the "What not to wear" tips and head out again. But alas--I need money :).

Have fun shopping!!!

Lisa loves Pooh,

I'm not going to use all of it on clothes and stuff like that, but maybe a half of it which is still a nice shopping budget to work with.

Some of the stuff I plan to buy are some new work pants, new dress casual work shirts, socks, work shoes, a new watch, some new sweatshirts, some jeans, a new pair of tennis shoes, a couple new belts, a new electric razer (really need this), etc.

Hey--a spree is a spree no matter the size. Enjoy!!

Hubby got practically a new wardrobe for the very reasons you mentioned on Father's Day weekend this year (evidently a great time for men's sales). He had stuff he'd been wearing for 10 years and for his career objectives, it just wasn't cutting the mustard anymore.

He rolls his eyes when I shop--but amazing when he decided he need to do it, he was a kid in a candy store. :). And now he dresses great!

Good for you Jason!

How about donating those clothes instead of throwing them away! I bet somebody could use them!

Have a great time spending that big bonus! (Don't forget to pick up some comfy clothes for those vacations I know you are planning! ;) )

Where is the green-eyed monster smilie? Just kidding, have a great time!

What about your old things? Maybe they can be donated to charity? DD17 has to do this before we do any serious shopping! Have fun!

Have fun and I am sure that you will look great in your new wardrobe!

I didn't mean putting these in the dumpster when said pitched, all 7 bags of it (not sure how many it will take) will be going to salvation army or something like that.

I wonder how many times it will take me to drag in all of those bags on new clothes, because if I have anything to say about it, there will be lots and lots of bags of new clothes.

I will see you all later and will let you know what I got.

HI,

I just got back after 4 hours of shopping and here is what I got:

1 pair of prospirit tennis shoes (target)
8 short sleeved collard casual work shirts (target, banana republic & sears)
6 long sleeve collard casual work shirts (target, banana republic & sears)
3 pairs of dockers (tan, green, blue) (sears)
1 pair of black cherokee casual pants (target)
1 pair of olive green gavin chinos (banana republic)
3 pairs of sweatpants (target)
2 sweatshirts (target)
2 pairs of jeans (target)
6 pairs of both tan and black dress socks (target)
18 pairs of white socks (target)

6 short sleeved t-shirts (target)
1 brand and 1 black belts (sears)
1 remington PowerClean electric razer (target)
1 set up replacement shaving heads (target)
Total $939.01

This was a long time coming and if I did this more offton wouldn't have been so high. It's nice to have it done, but now I have the hard part of taking stuff of hangers, and putting the new stuff on along with taking off all the tags.

Ok Jason - I need a new bag - watcha got left?? :)

Just kidding!! It's nice to buy new isn't it?? I have been planning on it for a while now ~ and since my youngest is coming up on a year old I may make that my "time"!!

BTW - Congrats on the sweet bonus...although you probably should have bought us all a round at the Tambu lounge or something!

lillygator,

Probably enough to cover a couple 4 day trips to WDW and stay at AKL :) . Actually $650 of what I spent, I will get back because I'm still waiting for my check from my TA on my American airlines refund (had to file a claim through the travel insurance because my Hawaii trip fell apart.)

Well - I hope you have a great V day in Vegas baby!!! :) You'll be lookin' "stylin'" i'm sure!!!

lillygator

You know I will be :). Actaully that might be changing a tad. Since we just did Vegas in January, I'm trying to talk her into flying form St. Paul to Chicago and then us flying Chicago to Orlando and do WDW instead of Vegas. I still have my AP that expires at the end of February so one more trip out of that would be cool. I've given her the option and told her to let me know which one she would rather do. She seemed excited about doing both of them, so it could go either way.

Well - I hope you end up at WDW...just because!! :).....

I will just miss you though...we'll be there the end of Jan ant the beginning of March!!!

lillygator,

I actually hope she says WDW as well, but I did leave the choice up to her.
