Drat, this is the worst possible time! We are flying out in the morning for 4 nights at SL and I have the most painful toothache stemming from an impacted wisdom tooth!

I have been to see emergency dentist and got some antibiotics and a large supply of painkillers. I am so gutted and don't even feel like going at all...

can anyone suggest some nice take-it -easy things to do at the resort in case my pain doesn't magically go away over night???

Oh no, you poor thing. pixiedust: I really hope it clears quickly.
Give the painkillers time to work - they may do the trick. Also find out if you can take paracetemol or ibuprofen as well. With careful alternating of painkillers I was able to get over my wisdom tooth extraction with no pain at all.
If there is one place that should take your mind off your tooth it's DLRP, and with each day that passes the antibiotics will work their own magic and you should feel better.
If you feel like a more relaxing time, remember to pack your swimming costume as the pool is lovely at Sequoia Lodge. The Redwood Bar is a nice place to sit and watch the world go by as well. Wandering round Adventureland and Frontierland can also be quite quiet, if you chose the little shortcuts to explore.

We are also going tomorrow for 4 nights at SL so I may see you there.:goodvibes

Oh no what a shame

Hope it doesnt spoil your trip

Hopefully once you are there the Disney magic will do its stuff for

you :goodvibes

Get some Anbesol from your chemist, today.
Its a lotion (you can also get a gel) which you put straight onto your inflamed tooth/gum, you can use it almost as much as you like, and along with your painkillers.

It kind of numbs your tooth/gum, giving you relief.

I have a wisdom tooth coming in, and for about a week there the pain was awful without the Anbesol, but bearable with it.

Give it a try, and I hope you enjoy your Disney break.

Go on things like Small World during the parade - its almost empty and you can probably go round twice - that should anaesthetise your tooth;)

For painkillers providing you have no significant medical history that means you can't take them - take Ibuprofen, their anti-inflammatory effect will help ease the pain as much as the painkilling effect. You will be able to buy
generic 400mg tabs from a pharmacy, you can take 3 of these in 24 hours, we sometimes recommend patients double up the dose on the first dose, to zap things quick. You can take paracetomol at the same time as Ibuprofen, but check that it's pure Ibuprofen, some of the branded varieties also containe codeine or paracetomol as well.

Remember that the antibiotics will take at least 24 hours to get into your body, so aren't going to provide immediate relief. Don't know if your dentist recommended a mouthwash, if not you can't go far wrong with a Hot Salt Water mouthwash, have the water as hot as is comfortable, dissolve the salt in it and swish around the area.

Hope it's feeling better soon and you can enjoy your trip. :)

Hope your toothache eases soon  Pop the painkillers and clove oil is good for toothache as well (although you probably have run out of time to get that now -sorry)

Wrap a scarf round your mouth to keep the cold out and I hope you get some
relief

Have a great time - spending you some pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
