Off to Cars Land!

All of the cast member previews had signs that stated that there was to be no disclosure by any participant in any format - especially social media, so that there were still some surprises for opening week.

Being linked to the disclosure could result in termination of the cast member. I think the OP is being respectful to her friend.

Hang tight guys - only a couple more days. We here at the DIS will be providing immediate coverage of all Cars Land activities this week! Follow the new CARS LAND SUPER THREAD for up to the minute details!!!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to visit CL this summer. It seems that LT is really getting the thumbs down. Do you think that Disney is aware of this?? Will they respond and redesign ??

Frankly, I loved it. I saw so many people laughing and having fun on the ride that it was great. The queue had way more capacity than I expected, but the way they divided it to reduce the "learning curve" of how to use the tires was great.

I also saw a lot of people getting so excited about trying to get the balls, that they got distracted and forgot the teamwork aspect in moving the tire - everyone has to lean together to shift the weight and get it to move.

Let's see how time fares and the learning curve adjusts with repeat visitors.

Don't forget to check out the new Cars Land SuperThread! Folks are starting to post their advice and experiences and we'll have blogs going up today!

The first post also has the links to follow the DIS on Twitter and see photos as they are posted!

Thats great, Nancy. Sounds like it might be one of those rides you have to do yourself and decide. I'm glad I have 3 boys their learning curve is definately a lot faster than mine when it comes to video games, cell phone usage, computers etc.. :rotfl:

I went to Cars Land yesterday. There was no restrictions on cameras or posting to social media. I can see why the Tires are getting a bad review as it takes double the amount of time to unload then load the ride than you spend riding the ride. With that said once the wife and I figured out how to do control the tires, man it was fun and we both loved it. As a matter of fact it was my wife's favorite ride. Here is a pic right before it started.

We also liked the Junkyard Jamboree. I think this will be a sleeper hit. It was just fun, and we were laughing most of the time on the ride in a good way.

Then racers. No Fastpass was offered . Single rider was offered and I used it twice. I waited in the stand by line once to to see it. It has a really cool bottle building. The ride itself I give a A- it gets the minus because I wish durring the race part you go faster. A CM told me the ride goes 45. Since this is like Test Track I think it should have gone at least 55 or so. Still it's a great ride.

All were very good. All in all Cars Land is AMAZING. I love what WDI can do when they are given money. All
