off the scale

I have just put the thermometer out of my greenhouse on the back lawn and it has gone off the scale!!!

It's very hot ~ I can't wait to get home and jump into the shower.

Trouble is, you shower, get dry and ten minutes later you're soaking again!

Just this second started a light rain here, hopefully we'll be in for a good thunderstorm then it'll clear for the weekend

I was hoping for a good thunderstorm today, but we just had a small shower.

No rain here yet I've been out all day so the house has been closed up I had to hold my breath and just run into the conservatory to open the windows it was so hot in there I couldn't breathe and sadly we must've trapped a butterfly in there this morning and he's 'cooked' to a crisp. I'm fed up of the heat now nothing seems to be working properly my mobile, our cordless home phone, the wireless internet and even our sky TV seem to be playing up. Hopefully it will rain overnight and tomorrow will be cooler

yes, it didn't seem to amount to much. its very dull and overcast here now, still hot though!
