What are your favorite things to do at Disney after you've hit all the highlights? What's your BEST tip for "off the beaten path" entertainment?

DH and I are taking the kids (3 and 6 yr. old) along with my sister and BIL, my MIL and SIL. We want them to experience the Magic like never before!!! Thanks!

not really "off" but we truly enjoyed the mouse boats when we were last there...

Go to the Boardwalk at night.. DD 2 1/2 loved the street performers (the fire eater the biking piano player etc..) The arnival atmosphere is really fun!

For out of the parks fun, try Blue Water Balloons or Orange Blossom Balloons http://www.bluewaterballoons.com or Orange Blossom Balloons (http://www.orangeblossomballoons.com. Both offer an unforgetable view of the area surrounding Disney.

For the real 'Florida' experience, head down to Boggy Creek Airboats (http://www.bcairboats.com . They offer daytime and nighttime airboat rides. If you have access to a car and don't mind a bit of a drive, Captain Joel Martin gives an excellent airboat tour (http://www.theblackhammock.com ) with more gators than you can shake a stick at!

Gatorland makes for a fun afternoon (see their new Blue Gator display!), and a full day can be had at Silver Springs near Ocala.

Either of the miniature golf courses are fun, especially at night! Plus you get a discount if you are a DVC member or if you play 2 courses in a row.

not an 'event' but clam chowder at the columbia harbor house in liberty square (near fantasyland) is quite good.

so are the 'water sprites' from the contemporary or the GF

We enjoy the campfire program at Fort Wilderness. It just a relaxing way to spend an evening.......Also DH and the kiddos like the water mice.:wave2:

When we went with a 3 and 6 yr. old.....

3 year old loved: any WDW transportation (monorail, boats, train etc...) also loved swimming and the Lego store at DTD.

6 year old loved: arcade, going to MK at night alone with Dad, shopping for souvineers, characters, fireworks, hair wrap, face painting.

If you go to BW rent a surrey bike, very fun!:sunny:

Stop by Belle's Story time. They pick a bunch of kids from the audience to participate and if your kids look enthusiastic they have a good chance of getting on stage.

YOU HAVE GOT TO READ.... the thread on this board entitled "Your Best WDW theme park secrets".... I'll try to find it and bump it up after I post this. It is LOADED with things to do in and around the World, that you might not hear about anywhere else!! For example, did you know that your kids can make chocolate chip cookies in Epcot for FREE... and they get two cookies for FREE when they are done!!?? Not much free in this world anymore, especially at WDW!! The thread is VERY LONG, but read a few pages at a time... it is well worth it in my opinion!.......P
