Question ?? What about a teacher that you have known for a few years and has had more than one of your kids? We are on the same wave-length and I'm sure will be hanging out outside of school soon. Also she is pregnant, due in March, so won't be finishing the school year with my DS. I know a few things that she likes and one is she collects African art, spent some time there too. I'm thinking a sculpture of two adults with a baby in their arms, I've seen similiar in AKL. My Aunt is knitting a baby blanket, car-seat size, and an expecting ornament from Hallmark, I can't find it online but they used to have one. Would that stuff be out of line ? I know I'll be getting her a nice gift bag of stuff once the baby comes and we know if it's a boy or girl.
Also, my other DS's teacher, I'm not sure what to get her. This is the first year I am meeting her. She has one child who is special needs and 7 months old. I want to get something personal since I already give so much to the classroom thru the year.
I'll probably do $5 gift cards for my DD in middle school with so many different teachers.
We've had our kindergarten teacher for a few years now and I felt comfortable getting her something more personal.
Fir the teacher with a special needs child what about a dontation in her name to some charity that works with that type of disability?
I got a really beautiful painted sign that says "Every child is a special flower and all together they make this world a beautiful garden" from a craft show this weekend... the girl's name is Bronwyn Hanna(h?) and she has a website called Paper Dolls. PM me & I can look it up for you if you're interested
