I'm posting this here rather than on the DISabilities board because they seem more Disney World specific...
I've read quite a few posts here on the DIS recommending Deckert's for a wheelchair rental so I called a couple of days ago and spoke with Diego who was very helpful. I just have a couple of questions for those of you who might have rented from them before.
We'll be at the DLR on 11/28 and this is our 1st wheelchair rental. It's for my 8 y/o DD who has a connective tissue disorder (like EDS) which makes it a must as she just can't do all the walking at DL or stand for long periods. We've used the jogger up until now and although she'd still fit, she's too old to sit in the "baby" stroller. What Diego at Deckert's recommended is a 16" Small Adult sized chair which sounds like the right fit for her. I'm a little hesitant to make the arrangements since they have no website where we could look at a picture of the wheelchair before sealing the deal. Also, at 5' 10" I'm tall and most chairs I've seen have the push handles really low...just concerned about my back after pushing the chair for long periods.
If anyone has any advice or recommendations I'd love to hear them
