Off site Thanksgiving day meal

Am looking to have high quality food, but casual dress for us on Thanksgiving Day. Any suggestions? I am looking for off site.

What type of food? Are you looking for Turkey? Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai?

We flew into Orlando on Thanksgiving Day 2 years ago. We had been there before on Thanksgiving but had always eaten on property. We were very surprised that there were only a couple of restaurants open. It seemed like 90% of them were closed. Unless things have changed a great deal you might want to stay on-site. Not many choices available.

Is Cracker Barrel open on Thanksgiving?

The ONLY one we found open was Lone Star.....and it was crazy busy. I was served a "Twice Baked" potato that was frozen solid.I didn't specifically look for a Cracker Barrel but all the chains around Disney were closed We were really shocked due to heavy tourist week. It may be different now, but that was only 2 years ago.

I would also have to say Cracker Barrel. I can not think of any nice sit down restaurants that normally serve turkey other than them. You can also find cracker barrel off several I-4 exits in case you wanted to go outside Orlando to perhaps have a lower crowd. Perhaps some of the upper scale hotel restaurants will have turkey on the menu just for thanksgiving.

A hotel may be your best bet. Lots of them have buffets.

Are you staying somewhere with a kitchen (even though you don't want to cook)?

If so, perhaps Boston Market, where you can take 'home' the food and serve yourselves.

Definitely check out some of the more convention type hotels. I know the Gaylord always has a nice buffet.

Cracker barrel, tgifridays in the Crossroads shopping center, Perkins should all be open.
