Off site self catering

I am a non driver and was wondering, apart from motel type self catering on Idrive, is there any other sort of self catering accommodation that is near a bus route for universal/seaworld etc and/or short trip by taxi to Disney? It would need to be near shops for provisions. Ive always wanted to try a villa but they all seem to need a car.

You might want to check out Vista Cay resort. It is a short-term rental community with condos and townhomes, a 5 star resort with 10,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and loads of amenities. It is centrally located to about everything, although about 15 minutes to Disney property, straight down I-4. It is within 1 mile of I-Drive for the I-Drive trolley and public transportation there. There is a Publix, NYPD Pizza, Chinese Restaurant, Nails Salon all within walking distance (next door). A Walgreens should be coming soon as well as other businesses at the "District" at Harbor Square.

You can find owners renting these on www.vistacayrent.com and information about the resort. Also, you can look on www.homeaway.com and www.vrbo.com and will find lots of great places.

It is about 1-1/2 miles to Seaworld, 3-4 miles to Universal, and 6-8 miles from Disney properties. It is about 10 minutes from the airport (MCO). Might be a great compromise.

You might also want to check into Lake Buena Vista Village resort.
They have condo units and have shuttles to the parks too.
