We are taking our 2 kids to DL in April and I was wondering about some of the off site restauants. I noticed there is a dennys and several other restaurants across the street from the park, how far is it to walk to them?? Are they usually really busy, how long to wait for a table? :confused3

Denny's is right accross the crosswalk from Disney...I hear that if you show your room card from certain hotels you get 10% off, not sure which ones though. Mimi's is at most a 5 min walk from the crosswalk and has GREAT food at very good prices. The longest we've waited there was 20 min, but that was off season. McDonalds and Millie's are between these two. IHOP is next to Denny's but its super expensive. Capt'n Kids is right there too, but never have heard anything about them. In the park vue inn across the street from the cross walk there is an Ice Cream Place. I know a couple other hotels in the area have stuff too like a quiznos and a pizza place, all within a 5 min walk. I don't know much about the other side of the cross walk or DTD, but I'm sure someone will be able to help. Have a great time!

Absolutely do not go to these places, Capn Kids (gross disgusting nasty food) and IHOP (way overpriced, we spent more eating at IHOP than we would have eating at DL).
Eat here, Millie's (good food, good prices, large portions), Mimi's (great food, good prices, large portions), Denny's (standard Denny's food and no price hikes). Those are on Harbor. In DTD you've got Rain Forest Cafe (good food, good prices, huge portions), Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen (great food, good prices, huge portions), ESPN Zone (never eaten here), House of Blues, Catal, Uva Bar, La Brea Bakery (good breakfast stuff and sandwiches), and a couple of little Italian places and I'm totally blanking on the names...Napolini I think, or maybe it's just Naples. Sorry, I don't remember. Anyway, the DTD restaurants are 5-10 min tops (walking, if you take the monorail you cut the walk time down depending on where you go but you will have to wait for the MR) and the Harbor places I suggested are about 5. Wait times will vary based on DL crowd levels and the times you go to eat. If you will have a car or are up to walk another 5-10 min. go to the Garden Walk, there is a CA Pizza Kitchen, PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gump and other places that I can't remember there. :) If you'll have a car drive to the GW or drive a bit farther to the Target area and right there you've got a Red Robin, Joe's Crab Shack, a pizza place and an Outback.

I second DO NOT EAT at Captain Kids.... YUCK

Mimi's is always a good choice!

I vote for PF Chang's for sure.

:thumbsup2 PF Chang's was our favorite place to eat when we were there last week followed by Cheesecake factory! We stayed at Portofino Inn and they were a very easy walk from our hotel.

Thanx so much, we are driving but can we leave the parkade and come back without paying the parking fee again??

Yup. Just show 'em your receipt when you come back in.
