Off Site Restaurants

Another vote for Orlando Ale House. Really loved Celebration Town Tavern. Have had recommended Linda's La Cantina, and Stonewood Tavern

I haven't read all the posts yet, so this might have been mentioned already but my family REALLY enjoys Carrabas. It's a chain and some of you might have one near your home, but it's very, very good Italian food. There is one right on 192 just west of I-4. It's in front of the Comfort Suites Maingate hotel.

The Melting Pot........mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!! It's on Sand Lake Road, just past I-4. Normally it would be above your price range, but they have some specials going on that you can find on their web page. Click here for a review and some pics of their yum-yum food. It's quite a favorite with locals. Fondue is so much fun, and the desserts are like a party in your mouth.

We always go to Tony Roma's during our WDW trips. We don't have one near us and I crave those ribs all year long. The last few times we went Mondays were All You Can Eat Ribs night. There are a ton in Orlando...if you look in the Yellow Pages in your room you can get an address.

Ah, Tony Roma's All-You-Can-Eat Ribs. We went to the one on I-Drive before we had kids and the three of us adults ate at least 2-3 full slabs at the least. The servers and manager all commented on how they'd never seen anything like it in the past. Considering how the replenishments came in smaller than half-rack servings, you can imagine how frequently ribs had to be delivered to our table. I highly recommend a visit for the baby-back rib lovers out there.

We enjoy the Bahama Breeze chain nearby, and would recommend it for the semi or fully open-air dining. Not your everyday food as well. The Cheesecake Factory is another local chain nearby that has never disappointed as well.

We have a timeshare right down from Crossroads, where you turn to go to DTD. The last two years we finish our trip with a Sunday night at Joes Crab Shack. It is always a great, lively experience. I know it is a national chain, but it is a lot of fun. We enjoy a mix of the Disney places, eating at our timeshare, and the off-site locations.

I can give you one thumbs down from our point of view...that would be the Ponderosa (not sure about the spelling). We ate at two different ones. Bad both times. There are several choices down 535 and International Drive.

Our best ever was the Colorado Fondue Company in Orlando. Bit of a drive, but had seen it on one of the old Rachel Ray shows where she would tour America. It was fun...but more than 20 dollars a head.

What are some good Off Site Seafood restaurants that aren't extremely expensive. Would really like to stay $20 or less if possible. But we would love to find some good restaurants with Shrimp, fresh fish, etc.

Love their food!

Celebration has some great resturants. Antionios is soooo much better than Carabas could ever be IMO

also I mentioned in another thread that Carmellas on Kirkman is fantastic.

btw Smokey bones is a Darden resturant part of the Red Lobster/ Olive Garden chain... as is Seasons 52- which is not kid freindly , is not cheap but is fantastic.. tied w/ Emerils as my favorite ever!

Oh if you don't wanna go North to Bonefish, they opened one a few months ago on John young and the Osceola parkway, about 20 min away

We ate at a Mimi's Cafe in San Diego and loved it. When I found one 5 miles down Osceola Pkwy I was thrilled. We do not have one in the NE. Lots of great choices, with nice touches. They even make mouse pancakes. Most of their diners are around $15 if I remember correctly. Breakfasts are less than $10. Hot chocolate comes covered in whipped cream, my son who is 19 still talks about it and he was 10 in San Diego.

We love Mimi's Too. Best breakfast!!!

Menu looks very good. Thank you. What are the prices (approximately). Just curious to know if we can eat for around $20/person or less or is it alot more expensive.

Sorry I should have asked this on my last message. Which location would be the closest to us? We are staying at POP. Thanks!

We got to the one near DTD, sorry that's the only location I am familiar with.

Oh goodness yes you can eat for under $20!! The dinners are all from like $8-20. $20 being the absolute highest and that would probably be a Filet...

Very reasonable, very yummy, and they even have nightly specials!

We are staying at the Caribe Royale for one night - and if I can drag my kids out of the pool I'd love to go someplace fun, non-Disney, to eat. Anyone know if Bahama Breeze or Joe's Crab Shack is around?

There is a Bahama Breeze located in Lake Buena Vista at 8735 Vineland Avenue and there are two Joe's Crab Shack locations around WDW. The 1st one is at 10 Blake Blvd Celebration, FL and the 2nd one is at 12124 S. Apopka Vineland Rd.

I didn't realize there was a Mimi's on Orlando. The one near DL is awesome so if it's anything like that I would recommend it. I really enjoyed Sweet Tomatoes which is $9.95 all you can eat. I think someone already mentioned that it's not for meat lovers but definitely for salad lovers because it has at least 8 different salads to choose from along with 4 or 5 soups, 3 pastas, baked potatoes, different breads and desserts...very good value! I think the closest one would be the LBV location.
