Off Site resorts

That's an impossible question to answer without a lot more info.

How many in your party? How many adults and kids?

What type of accomodations are you looking for? Regular hotel room, suite, condo, home.

Will you have a car or will you be depending on hotel shuttles (which I don't recommend).

What type of amenities are important to you?

How much are you looking to spend per nite?

As a very general answer to your question, IMO the best place to stay offsite is in a rental condo or pool home. You can get a 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo starting under $40/nite and a 3-bedroom pool home for under $100/nite. You get multiple rooms, full kitchen, and all the comforts of home and then some. Its a great way to vacation.

Give us more info and we'll be happy to make some more specific recommendations.

we have 2 adults and 1 5 year old child. We can or cannot have a car and would like a hotel room that has easy access to the parks. Are the values cheaper than the off site or other way around?:D

I'm in favor of having a car no matter where you stay, onsite or offsite.

As for comparing the values to the offsites, if you get a good special, you can get the values for about $59/nite. You can definitely get a nicer offsite place for the same price or less. As I said, you can get a 2-bed, 2-bath condo for under $50 offsite. No comparison between that and a plain room at the onsite values, at least not in my opinion.

Despite my personal bias, some people would rather stay in a hotel than a condo. In that case, you can definitely get a nice room offsite for less than the onsite values. Also, many offsite hotels include breakfast in their rate, something Disney does not do. So that makes the offsite price an even better value.

We just returned from the Radisson Resort Parkway and it was very nice. We had a problem with them double charging our debit card which caused some problems, but we got it cleared up first thing the next day. The pools are great! there is one heated and one with a water fall. There are little falls and brooks throughout the complex and there is a bar and eatery right next to the pool. We were very pleased with the service and the grounds. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
We got one of the theme park packages which was a pretty good deal. It included tickets and breakfasts. 3 nights for 450.00
